@scutch no noticable power gain though i still have the cat box fitted. Cuttin it out 2nite and puttin in a straight section of pipe.

No i smashed up the 'bricks' inside the cat and shaked it out of the exhaust which i had cut a inch or two from the cat.

I fitted a Remus back box today and mated it to an old exhaust system i had. Hollowed out the cat, no massive change in exhaust note but she stinks of fuel. Anyone have an opinion on guttin the cat, will it affect my engine or will she be ok?

Off set pedals are a bitch, test drove a VTR once couldnt press the throttle without hittin the brake aswell. Great car but i'd hate some chav in his 1.1 to pull up and say god nice car mate, mines just like that

I spent £150 on a set of lowering springs that were nothing short of bloody dangerous. Only people goin to suffer here are CHAV'S Properly modified and maintained cars will be fine, what about rally cars. Look at the bigger picture people, we're a intelligent group of car enthusiasts, if your car is not fit for the road it shouldnt be on it. Plz dont try and tell me that Ripspeed or Halfords know better than Toyota or Nissan.

Just pullin into my road all excited bout fittin SR dials (thanx to streetracer starlet for the diagrams) and a Pug 206 did a three point turn into my front drivers wing. He accepted blame and all is sweet. The ball booter is that i bought a SR last saturday for parts and its the driver wing and door thats damaged on it!

No i realise the difference and its the 5EFE like whitestarlets that i want to fit in my car but if i change the ECU in my car i need to either get it unlocked to accept the new ECU or some how fit the paeso immobisler and igination barrel and i've no idea if it would work

Whitestarlet has a 5EFE and ECU in his 98 sportif and seems to be working fine. Although his car has no power steering and quite possibly has no factory immobliser. If it works on his should it not work in mine provided i get something done bout the immobliser???

A 5EFE will fit no problem and the ECU Will plug straight in but its the factory immobilser i'm worried about. Can toyota reset or crack it to accept the new brain
