  1. yes you can just buy the manifold. Have a look at these websites here. I would give them a call or email to double check fitment http://www.wepracing.com/ http://www.ziscoperformance.co.uk/ http://www.race-tech.net/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=50_48
  2. Mate that livesports lip is very nice! wasnt too sure when it wasnt sprayed up but it really suits the car man, respect
  3. Mate i feel your pain! Sadly with modifying cars you have many ups and downs. Things are going to go wrong every now and then. Im sure you'll be back on the road in no time
  4. That links not working man. Im going to need to see how things are going with my car, need to have cash for a remap before then
  5. Cheers guys! Big update.... Took her for her first spin! fuck me its good to feel a turbo kick in again! Was getting sick of this sight in my sisters EP3 So i ordered hel brake lines and 1 custom line from earls to replace the other one i cross threaded, ordered both yesterday at 1pm came today at 11am Got them fitted, had a bit of trouble bleeding the brakes by myself but i realised i only had to only open the nipple (hehe) about a quarter turn and close before lifting off the pedal and go round the car 3-4 times to get all the air out. Once that was do
  6. Personally i wouldnt buy a forged engine someones cousin had build unless he worked at a company who forge that type of engine all the time. Or if he is well known for his skills and has a good track record. If its just a guy that 'had a go' i would just walk away. My mate tried to forge an sti engine and within weeks it was knocking and everything he put in was fucked and scored all the block. Ended up costing a bomb
  7. Resolved the problem the next day thanks to help from the forum members! I forgot to hook up some of my earths! I had also forgot to plug the knock sensor back in but its sorted now Topper her up with some fresh v power and she starts and runs just like she should. Its starting to look like a car again The exhaust looks so weird without the back bumper So got the rear suspension, rear brakes, exhaust, intercooler, air filter and a few other bits and bobs fitted the last couple of days. Would have took it for a quick drive round the block but i cross threaded on
  8. It was earths! Gonna have to go buy some cable because i seem to have misplaced my original ones
  9. Cheers lads! i will get on it first thing tomorrow! Report back my results
  10. yeah the reshell was 98 to 96 but all wiring is 98. Im thinking it could defo be earths, i've just remembered i missed the drivers side mount earth as well as the one just behind the battery that goes from the top of the gearbox to the rhs of bay I will check the map sensor and vacuum source tomorrow if im still having trouble. Seriously hope this is whats wrong
  11. Got the fuel pump off LeeG, fitted it and got the rest of my wiring in place. Started her up but she was idling like a yoyo then dies after a few seconds, 3 fault codes. Heads fried with it so im gonna come back to it tomorrow and hopefully iron out the issues!
  12. I've just done a reshell so everything has been recently plugged back in. Basically the car starts but the idling is all over the place up and down then shuts off after about 20 seconds. Getting the fault codes 12, 22, 24. Below is what they mean but im not sure what i should be checking. 12 RPM Signal No G or NE signal present for 2 seconds during cranking Open G circuit Open, short in G or NE circuit. Distributor ECU 22 Water Temperature Sensor no signal at THW Water temperature sensor ECU 24 Intake Air Temp sensor no signal at THA Intake air temp s
  13. Adrian flux are a rip if you ask me. All my quotes from them were 1300 or more. Im with aviva, not ideal for a modified car but its 580 a year. Im 24, 5 years ncb, glanza v with all mods declared. It is illegal to insure it as a 1.3 n/a. The reason the log book says that is because the dvla dont have the glanza in their system as it was jdm so most imports go down as the closest thing they can get
  14. Cheers for the heads up man. It was a negative
  15. Looking to pick one or these up today. I do not require a pump with it. Willing to travel within 50 miles of glasgow. Let me know what you have cheers
  16. Yeah i already sunk a great deal of cash into it already but thought it was a waste of time sinking more with the bent chassis! Once its back together im sticking on a td04 kit as well as getting a race spec rocker cover and catch can then full respray in white. Or maybe a different colour we will see when the time comes What about £40 then? And I'll pick it up tonight? Aye front number plate would be handy lol
  17. I've got some bits off this car glad to see someone took the project on!
  18. Chassis on my original starlet was bent and smashed at the drivers side, i'll get some photos up because people keep asking me. First noticed about a month after getting the car when i was getting the alignment done. Castor was off quite a bit but whoever repaired it did a decent repair on it. It did drive ok but pulled to the left constantly and liked left turns better than right ones lol! i didnt want to sink any more money or power into it when it was like that
  19. I already have a walbro buddy! Any chance i could just get the assembly for a tenner or something?
  20. It should be that simple but they are totally different shapes for pump to sit in (98's a perfect circle and 96 is kinda oval) not to mention the fuel lines are different. I will get some photos comparing the 2
