  1. How the shell looked inside when i got it I've since removed the dash. The 96 and 98 wiring is very different throughout the car. With the wiring in the engine bay there is a hole in the middle of the 96 bulkhead used for wiring which doesnt exist in the 98. 98 uses the gap behind the passengers side wing where the rear washer pipe goes instead. All painted up The engine bay wiring is in place, will get more photos
  2. No point fucking about missing my daily dose of boost big time Cheers mate Nah the original cars chassis is bent so the caster is off on the front right coilover and it handles pretty badly round corners and at high speed. Also the wing isnt able to be the correct shape, same with the bumper. Arch liners dont fit properly either Cheers man will do!
  3. That is one sweet looking V mate! How many miles you got left of running in?
  4. Is it really? to be fair i was just assuming they would have made the gearbox efficient for factory power, i never really do any high speeds so i wouldnt know. Sorry for going off topic ha
  5. Yeah im thinking the gearbox is only good for 135-140. Unless you start going way past the red line which would be silly
  6. http://www.rhdjapan.com/toyota/ep82-ep91-starlet/differentials-output-shafts any of these would be excellent. I have a TRD myself and i cant fault it at all.
  7. Double check your connections are good, where have you wired it upto? the colours you should be using from the back of the headunit are Blue - Constant 12V Gray - Ignition Green - Lights Black - Ground
  8. Bit of an update Engines out of the 98, took me and a few mates about 6 hours to do it which is not bad considering none of us have done anything like that before lol! gave it a good clean yesterday. Tomorrow im changing the timing belt and water pump then finishing painting the engine bay of the 96 shell. Next on the list is to start transferring the wiring. Looks simple enough but fiddly. More updates soon!
  9. Hahaha just seen this! excellent stuff mate! Cant wait to see it on the road! Shitter about that steering column! the ignition barrel and all the locks and key are yours for free if u want them mate, not sure if the passenger one exists or not mind you.

  17. the bolts on the bottom for the fmic are m6 bolts if they are the same size as the ones used for the JD tuning civic radiator mounting kit
  18. I'll keep them in mind for the future, bit too far away for the job i needed done. Went with RS Recovery in the end, local to me and they were good
  19. need to get the shell moved and i was supposed to be paying a mate £50 to get it from kilmarnock to barrhead but he keeps letting me down. Anyone know anyone who would be a good shout?
  20. hahaha! aye its a 96 glanza shell with all the wiring and dash in place which im putting an engine etc from my 98 glanza into. I was thinking that it should just be a case of dropping the engine in.
  21. Haha nice one man cheers! im just waiting to get confirmation i can get it picked up tomorrow around dinner time then i'll be getting to work! So i should be able to unplug all the wiring going to the dash and remove the dash + its wiring as one piece? then can keep the wiring in the engine, for the rear lights etc?? or will i need to swap over every bit of wiring over in sections?
  22. That might work out easier because i've been wondering what i should do with the alarm i have fitted? Its a clifford which i was considering taking back to the guys who fitted it and ask if they could remove it and put it in the other shell. I'm not that confident with wiring so this will be fun lol LOL hold your horses i've not even got the shell yet pm coming your soon buddy
  23. they are different spec's, shell is 96 and my car is 98. Hopefully wont have too many issues as the dash is still in place. I think im gonna defo attempt the work myself, its going to take me a good few weeks i reckon. Biggest job i've ever taken on, feel free to come down and help lads haha
