Timmah Posted October 1, 2017 Author Posted October 1, 2017 Nobody sells them new so it's a case of finding a used one I had a feeling that would be the case. I'll keep my eyes out on the Buy/Sell section. Cheers! Quote
Trevstar Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Modify the original and cut off the bottom part of the shifter rod (just above where it connects to the cable) and weld in an additional 10-15mm, and add spacers to the mounting points so it don't hit the floor Quote

I picked one of these up a few weeks ago, recently restocked I believe. Still waiting for some bearings to come through so I can do Morgey's solid shifter mod at the same time. I would rather increase the leverage at the shift lever end as Trevstar said, and probably will at some point once my mate fixes his welder, but the Hypersport kit is only cheap so I thought it was worth a go. patman Posted October 14, 2017 Posted October 14, 2017 I was watching a wheeler dealers episode a while back with a xr2 edd was doing up and he was making a short shifter, pretty good detail too, exactly as you was saying trevstar mate Quote
