And you mate, got something planned for the centre console

Anyone know what I need to do to relocate my CD Player to where the ashtray is? is it just a case of remove the ashtray and use the brackets that are there for the CD player or do I need to use CD player brackets? If that makes sense B) B)

right.. heres a step-by-step.

1. remove headunit, center console and whatever you need to have the center console out on your lap.

2. take the ashtray unit out (2 scres up the top pull out)

3. remove brackets from the headunit.

4. remove brackets from the ashtray unit and screw them into the headunit.

5. clip the two bottom clips into the center console (the two little peg like thingies)

6. if you need to line it properly, unscrew the brackets and place them in different holes (if it doesnt sit as flush as it could)

7. once it is flush and you are happy with its position, screw back into place.

8. if you are placing the ashtray unit in the headunits previous location then screw the old headunit brackets onto the ashtray unit, and your sorted.

if you want step by step pics, let me know before tomorrow and il do it in the morning :D

here you go sparkywarky

1. remove headunit, center console and whatever you need to have the center console out on your lap.

2. take the ashtray unit out (2 screws up the top pull out)

3. remove brackets from the both units, then fit the brackets from the ash tray to the head unit..

4. on the LEFT bracket, the hole that is scratched (from previous position on the ashtray) doesnt line up, use the top hole as shown VVV.

So far you should have this :

5. pull the wires from the headunit down behind the dashboard line like so VVVV

DSC02208c.jpg

6. plug the wires into the back of the headunit and slide the centerconsole back into place, beware though, the centerconsole gets a bit top - heavy

sorted.

i did this without using my blanking plate under the ashtray, but this still fits but you just need to screw it to the brackets.

New alloys are a long way off yet mate and I would probably keep the Speedy's for track days etc :p

A pretty big update should be in the next few weeks guys :p

In the mean time I should have my car back next week to fit some of the goodies I got from JAE ;)
