Steve GT Posted September 28, 2010 Author Share Posted September 28, 2010 Well had a go at trying to get my front mount looking nice againAs you can see from the pics it had HDI sprayed on it very roughly in black paint. i tried paint thinners, solvent and ethyl on it and nothing came close to removing it. So i invested in one of theseAnd hey presto it went from thisTo this Little change but very effective also spent 2 hourse straightening all the fins out on it. very tedious job but again needed doing badly lol Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Steve GT Posted September 28, 2010 Author Share Posted September 28, 2010 Got a bit bored waiting to go to work so decided to do a bit of sprayingFirst my newly ninjad Inlet manifoldLooking at the picture i noticed I've missed a bit but all the bits you will be able to see is nice and black also got my toms style rear sparts primered up ready to paintJust doing little bits and bobs now till i save some money. Next few jobs will pretty much be primering up my toms skirts, spraying the skirts and spats 040 white then cleaning and painting the engine and gearbox.Im also deciding wether to spray the bay something like satin black or just give it a damm good clean and leave it whiteWill keep updating when i can but got 5 days of 12 hour shifts to do so wont be doing much till next week nowp.s really sorry for the crap pics digital camera packed up so its crappy phone shots for a while Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Steve GT Posted October 5, 2010 Author Share Posted October 5, 2010 Well left the scoop to dry and harden over night and gave it a quick test fit. as you can see by the pic below it doesnt look an exact match but im pretty sure its cause the scoops newly sprayed and the bonnets dirty and hasnt been cleaned in months. so im pretty happy with the results and hopefully with a bit of time they will even out a bit but to be honest im pretty happy with the results Quote Link to post Share on other sites
