that eclipse always looks to high still quite nice though, i loved neons and crap when i was 12 all my cars on need for speed underground were badass! ahaa

Is there a Illiminating ignition barrel optional extra or are they on every car?

Yes the ignition barrell was an optional extra. Celicas, Cynos', Supras, Previas... you name it, it was a japanese option.

Not OVERLY rare... but they are a rare peice of kit throughout. I've seen a few stars with them but they are just a great touch

you get use to putting the key in the hole, no need for illumination, My brothers Lucida has one

yeah they aint OVERLY common, so rare enough. they come up on the auctions now and then.

I bought one off flee bay but you need a different ign barrel as it dont fit around the one thats in mine

it fits over the section of the barrel that the key goes into, the problem lies with the actual plastic cowling/trim around the steering column. i am SURE toyota must have modified cowling for cars with the illuminated surround, but as yet i havnt been able to find a breaker with them on it, so i had to do a neat-ish stanley knife trim job to make mine fit.

ohh my god!! i never knew they did that option for the glanza! i had a passenger air bag in my old V and always thought about how to change it to a storage bin. i also need one in my life!!! right now!
