Liam_D Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Lovely steering wheel dude, very similar to mine too That gap around the steering column is normal too. Mine has it. Quote
Dan507 Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Nice wheel. you should have made a guide on how to fit it for other members (like me) Quote
bucketep91 Posted July 30, 2010 Author Posted July 30, 2010 its not hard dan a monkey could do it. at the side of your oem wheel theres a hole at either side with a torx screw inside, take them out then loosen the 19mm nut, slap the steering wheel about a bit to loosen it then take the nut off and pull off the wheel, line your new 1 up and fit it. simples Quote
ryan lang Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 @dan507i made you a guide, its obviously just the same in reverse to put your new 1 onsteering wheel is looking super sexy mate Quote
Dan507 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 yeah i know but its fitting the boss kit.@ Ryan, i know i have saved it Quote
ryan lang Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 surely the boss kit just bolts onto where the 19mm bolt held the steering wheel on? Quote
Dan507 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Don't know, im going to do it tonight when i get home from work, shouldn't be tha hard using you're guide. (thanks again) Quote
Galliano Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Whatever you do, disconnect the battery, to be safe, an hour before hand!! Quote
LukeSR Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 lol @ an hour before. 30 seconds will do This ;) Quote
Galliano Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Wanna be on the safe side, what if Dan gets one massive blow from his bag? Quote
ryan lang Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 i didnt disconnect my battery :/the only wires were for the horn? so surely its just a case of not bashing the steering wheel around because its set off by impact, not electricitysorry for the spamage Quote
Galliano Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Its triggered by sensors buddy.. so if they have leccy running to them, you whack the steering wheel about trying to get it, its gonna hurt. Quote
ryan lang Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 on mine there was no wires connecting the bag to anything, just wires that went to the horn buttons :sthere would have to be wires connected to it, to be set off whilst the battery is still connected? Quote
Galliano Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Theres wires going into the back of the Paseo airbag.. I believe the Star and Paseo share the same aswell. Quote
