Steering wheel, how!?

Right, anyone with a Glanza and has put an aftermarket boss kit + steering wheel on, how have you got the horn to work?

I made a way but the wire just gets tangled on full lock

Yes i do, but was your boss kit air bag or non-air bag?

mines the same on the 95! had to get my MOT tester to miss that bit out ! hows it done?

mines only got one wire coming off the boss :s but it works lol

You need to get a boss kit with a contact strip on it for the horn, if you look at the back of the standard wheel there is a brass ring which contacts with a little pin on the steering column. If your boss kit doesn't have the brass ring you could stick one on then solder a connector onto it to connect with the horn button.

put mine on connected the the wire to the other wire and it works, mine is an non air-bag

the wires in the boss that i left there should be enough to get it working bud, it did on mine any way.

It isn't as easy as some might think on the EP91 there are 2 sorts of:

Dash wiring looms

Indicator stalks

Steering coulmn plastics

Steering wheels

It's not a 96 - 98 break either as i have 2 96's and they are both different. One has a contact strip for the horn the other one uses and different setup.

You need to get a boss kit with a contact strip on it for the horn, if you look at the back of the standard wheel there is a brass ring which contacts with a little pin on the steering column. If your boss kit doesn't have the brass ring you could stick one on then solder a connector onto it to connect with the horn button.

I have the brass ring but didn't see the little pin on the steering column

Mines a OMP non airbag boss kit, you could buy one of them of ebay Phil, and it should work out fine for you? There a bit cheaper than them Daikei ones too.
