Steering wheel, how!?

Recommended Posts

I'm sure there's a way of doing it! It's so annoying because when you need to horn at someone you end up looking for the button and they opportunity has passed :) lol

I made a way but the wire just gets tangled on full lock :)

You need to get a boss kit with a contact strip on it for the horn, if you look at the back of the standard wheel there is a brass ring which contacts with a little pin on the steering column. If your boss kit doesn't have the brass ring you could stick one on then solder a connector onto it to connect with the horn button.

It isn't as easy as some might think on the EP91 there are 2 sorts of:

Dash wiring looms

Indicator stalks

Steering coulmn plastics

Steering wheels

It's not a 96 - 98 break either as i have 2 96's and they are both different. One has a contact strip for the horn the other one uses and different setup.

I have the brass ring but didn't see the little pin on the steering column :)
