TrisK Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Hey,had my glanza about almost a year nowalready had a few issues, dodgy ht leads leading to a misfire in the wet (As water came through the scoop), then an earthing issue, a replacement clutch, door handle snapped off, and now with all this wet weather the misfire it back (im hoping its just leads again)but over all, im loving the little machine, a bit step up from my old fiestaBut without further ado, some pics of the glanza:and my favourite:Since these photos ive got tinted UK spec rear lights, lower profile tyres and its a lot lowerive also been through 2 dv's, the standard, a ssqv3 and a baileys.im currently running the baileys, although i switch been the ssqv and the baileys fairly regularly.i also have attempted a HID conversion, which worked fine. but there is some sort of electrical problem with the passenger light, so it keeps blowing a fuse. only with the HID kit though, normal bulbs do not blow it. i think its to do with a relay getting wet.so the whole kit will come out (probably this weekend), ill check over the wiring and everything, then will try and put it back in a later date.ive got a JAM racing spoiler to go on when i can get it round to the body shop, as it needs some repair work before it can be sprayed.I want to get hold of a JAM front lip to put on.i will get some photos with the low, rear lights and spoiler (when its on) on soon. Please note: i have also tidied the engine bay, since that enginge bay shot, my hoses are now a lot more organised Quote

Amjad Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Welcome! Nice glanza, but 1 Bar and no Fuelling mods, only FCD? Quote
TrisK Posted January 13, 2011 Author Posted January 13, 2011 Welcome! Nice glanza, but 1 Bar and no Fuelling mods, only FCD?Ive read this a lot. i cant see a fpr or anything in the engine bay.unless i have an uprated ECU, although i have looked at the pics of a standard ECU compared to a JAM Racing one and a few other after market ECUs and they look physically the same.i have found the FCD box, so i presume i must have the standard ECU if i need a FCD.What would i need in the way of fuelling mods, ive done 10,000 miles in it and nothing has gone wrong yet.so what would i need, and how much am i looking at? Sparky Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 That looks lovely minus the tinted rear lights, plans sound good also Quote

Galliano Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Get some of the later spec lights on it, they look gorgeous - the red style ones I believe were used on the Reflet? They will make it look so clean! And JAM lips on 98 spec bumpers look AWESOME! Il find one for you. Quote
Galliano Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Here we are... You can have a Cupra splitter..Or you can paint it...JAM splitter.. None came to mind in white, but this is silver to show just how amazing these look with 98 Spec front endsAnd the rear lights the make the car look so clean.. Quote
Amjad Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Yeah get rid of those tinted lights, not a good look! By the way that Cupra splitter above looks a bit dodgy, they didnt cut the slats in the centre which is why it looks bent lol Should look like this when trimmed: http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g178/low...100530-1556.jpg Quote
TrisK Posted January 14, 2011 Author Posted January 14, 2011 Looks immense mate!! Where you from? Thanks mate. From Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. (Its how I managed to insure a Glanza V at 18. Glanza_cl Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 just a thought mate if water keeps goin through the scoop could get a glanza s bonnet?? v looks mint though keep up the work matewould need a fmic to run a S bonnet.Car looks wicked! could do with a wheel aligmnet by the look of it lol. might wanna think about getting a RRFPR and a quick trip to a RR before you do to much else.new engine would cost alot more then a new front lip thats for sure Quote
TrisK Posted January 14, 2011 Author Posted January 14, 2011 would need a fmic to run a S bonnet.Yeah, thats my problem, oh well. ill deal with the misfire til then. gonna smear some vaseline round the top of the ht leads this weekend.Car looks wicked! could do with a wheel aligmnet by the look of it lol. might wanna think about getting a RRFPR and a quick trip to a RR before you do to much else.new engine would cost alot more then a new front lip thats for sureYeah im gonna get a laser alignment this weekend i think.Could somebody link me to a RRFPR, and a fitting guide if there is one?I was talking to my mate whos a mechanic, and he seemed to think that without bigger injectors, the standard FPR would be fine. Although he is no glanza expert. Quote
Glanza_cl Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 yeah nothing wrong with the stock FPR its the fact that the FCD is potentialy making the car run lean... having a RRFPR means you can up the fuel rail pressure so you run richer through the whole rev range, meaning where the ecu is leaning out top end its now not. if that makes sence lolinjectors should be all good upto 200bhp Quote
