After being ill for the start of the week ive spent a day and a half in bed so this morning i was feeling quite better so i cracked on with the boot of my car. It's about 85% done now. Bourkey
UPDATEThe seat belts and all the bits associated with the seats will be coming out tomorrow as I've found out they have to be removed for it to pass the MOT plus they don't look very good anyway. The boot is about 95% done so i'll post pics up as soon as it's sorted and completed. It should be completely done for about wednesday so for the people going to Bluewater you can see it properly. Can't wait for you lot to see it. It's gonna look smooth when it's fully completed. I'll put all the pics up of how i did it aswell.

Bourkey
Little update.I've have pretty much finished the boot now but i'll put pics up when im 100% happy happy with it. I decided to finally give in and lose the bump strips aswell but in doing so i have revealed some shite!!! The drivers side is fine and couldn't look any better but the passenger side has had a very minor bump by a previous owner somewhere down the line. The problem is, whoever has repaird the car they have done a shite job to say the least. To start off with they didn't remove the bump strips when painting it so there is a gap where the bump strip used to be and secondly the laquer they used was absolute rubbish. It comes off really easy. And finally you can see all the sanding marks through the paint if you look closely. Im a perfectionst when it comes to paintwork and whoever repaired it was crap. I was gonna eventually get the front end resprayed anyway as 80k shows on the front of the car with little pin prick marks on the bumper and bonnet. But it looks like im gonna get it done in the next couple of weeks. Alex is gonna be doing a proper job for me as he used to work in a bodyshop but i wont have my car for about 3 days. I might even have to drive a...........CORSA!!!!!!!! Hopefully not though as he might be letting me drive his Punto, which is a little better.Hopefully i'll have the body sorted for Bluewater but i will have to see what happens.I'll get some pics up of my progress asap

I knew it would im just worried about some bozo knocking the side of my car!!!!
Bourkey
BIG UPDATE!!!!I havn't been on here for the last week as i've been super busy with the SR. I'll start with the boot as you all keep asking about it. Im very proud of it as it's the lightest boot built ive ever done. Here is how it was done. And the end result: If you recognise the sub and amp it's because it's out of the box i had before. I simply took it apart and put it in my build. The only reason i have done a build was because i hated not having any bass at all but i still wanted it light so everything i used was the lightest. The result is a fantastic system that weighs half as much as it did in the box.But that is not all. Here is the side of the car. There are two diferences from before. Can anyone guess? And again there two diferences under the bonnet. Can anyone guess? Also got some new numberplates to smarten it up even more
Idrees
Boot build looks nice, and guess what.. Thats EXACLTY how i planned on fitting my brothers new 15" in his old SR, i'm being serious, exactly like that with still the original carpet etc!Door strips removed, window tints, red cam cover and black inlet.. Very nice ;)
Sparky
Thats pretty neat right there ;)What are you doing with the area where the bottom of the rear bench used to be or are you keeping it like that?Looking good mate ;)
Bourkey
Boot build looks nice, and guess what.. Thats EXACLTY how i planned on fitting my brothers new 15" in his old SR, i'm being serious, exactly like that with still the original carpet etc!Door strips removed, window tints, red cam cover and black inlet.. Very nice Yes Idrees you have got them all right except one minute detail. That black mani isn't just any old starlet mani. It's the corolla one and it makes a lot of difference. It pulls really well in every gear and its so responsive. The throttle has been adjusted aswell so it's instant when i touch the throttle. I wasn't even gonna get one but i spotted it in a scrap yard when i was picking up a load of stuff and the guy said £30 for the lot. ;) ;) Alex (!Rush!) is the one who should take the credit for the mani as he painted it up for me and fitted it aswell. I know how to fit it but im just too weak so he did a fantastic job. I owe him a few pints now!!!! ;) The system wasn't the easiest thing as you have to get all the dimensons correct or you have to start again. If anyone wants the same system then im happy to give the dimensions for everything to you. ;) What are you doing with the area where the bottom of the rear bench used to be or are you keeping it like that?I've got some carpet i may finish it off with but im undecided as it looks pretty neat as it is.Thanks for the comments guys. I'll let you know if anything else happens. ;)
Mikey Jay
!! ;) !!That is pretty nice man, nice and subtle too, and you still get to keep boot space ;)Liking the no bump strips and tints, and the rocker cover looks pretty smart too.Looking forward to seeing this at Bluewater soon ;) ;) ;)
Bourkey
I wanted to get it all done for Bluewater so i have done it early so im not rushing it together at the last minute. Me and my mates have been working on the car non-stop all weekend as i had so much that i wanted finishing off. It's good to have the bass back but the corolla mani is one of my favourite mods. I wasn't even gonna do it as im getting a 4efte as soon as i can but it was there at a bargin price so i thought what the hell i'll get it anway!!! It idles perfectly and id say it runs much better with this in aswellThe car looks a lot better with the tints and no bump strips aswell.Im super chuffed with the whole car at the moment. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
Mikey Jay
You should be chuffed, is turning into an awesome lil' machine. My Seo will be no match for you sir ;) ;)Damn everyone and their rolla mani's that work grr lol.(on a side note in a moment of insight I worked out why my mani didn't do a lot and had an air leak, making it idle high.......my plonker of a mechanic didn't put a new gasket on between the throttle body and inlet mani ;) .........oh well )Will be good to see you again geezer ;)
