OLD news

IMG_0336.jpg

A new genuine wheel bearing was purchased,After getting it pressed in at a garage, it was safe to say the hub itself was fucked,(it span in the hub) Opps.

So i quickly found myself a hub Of ebay!

Arrived and bobs your uncle was sorted.

No play etc. But i still had a knocking noise when pulling away!

so i went to other side and noticed the inner nut wasnt tight, tightend up and sorted. no knocking.

A new speedo cable was fitted which was from toyota!

The CV was leaking greese and was spraying up the chassis, so a new inner cv was purchased and fitted.

After being given a set of pads, decided to fit them also, one of the 12mm nuts, wasnt 12mm, more like 11 3/4 lol tryed a few AF sizes but it was solid.

Grinder!

IMG_0345.jpg

Wear

IMG_0346.jpg

New bolts where also purhcased from toyota! upper and lower for both calipers!

IMG_0350.jpg

A new fuel filter was also fitted!

Few engine modifications took place!

IMG_0362.jpg

relocated New HKS filter to front

IMG_0364.jpg

good old baileys chav valve fitted aswell as a rocker cover breather and some silly red hoses:)

My little custom earthing kit

Sounds very nice on boost!

Bodywork needs TLC, so i started on the little spots on bodywork, Good old dodo bits purchased.

Also purchased myself some tar remover for the annoying little black spots on bodywork!

IMG_0405.jpg

Blotz & bracket and bolts from jezza

IMG_0420.jpg

Oooo yea

IMG_0423.jpg

Turns out not to be coilovers but a fmic from luke(thought i had won something in a competition :)

FMIC black

IMG_0425.jpg

old door marks & new door now on but i forgot to change the lock:@

IMG_0428.jpg

Got Nuts?

IMG_0429.jpg

Roof lining now in and fitted with new parcel shelf, boot carpet.

Tryed to fit fmic earlier but had few issuses with top of bumper and it needing to be lower(the fmic)

C&C welcomed.

Car is starting to look how i want it too!

I wont be fitting the blitz till a manifold is purchased as then i can kill two birds with one stone.

the fmic sits pretty close to the air filter will this be ok for the filter to breath? suppose its better than the stock position.

fitted ic

made to brackets to keep it steady underneath, still got a slight bumper issue but its on!

0f522f62.jpg

eb8094e6.jpg

its started to chatter more at lower Boost then dumps?

thats ok isnt it?

Also my blitz decat, should i heatwrap it or as its cast iron will it make no difference?

The bracket that were attached to the FMIC should have lined up to two bolt hole under the bottom cross member mate I didnt have to cut my bumper but it was 96spec

Link to post

I had to modify the top bracket to make it sit out more in cut out

And then was two --- Welded straight shapes from bottom cross panel underneath intercooler so it's secure and ic sits on it. Win win.

After trying to fit the braided hose

One of the nuts was like chocolate and literally was spinning,

So work was undertaken,

IMG_0468.jpg

looks really empty :)

HKS

IMG_0471.jpg set at 7.5 psi

Unit

IMG_0470.jpg

wacked two new HT bolts in the ic piping as the didnt have any threads left!

Good news is that the gaskets look in VGC so im happy with that.

Im currently eating dinner waiting for drill to charge so i can carry on with the portage.

Im also after a aftermarket ecu if anyone selling soon:)

C&C welcomed.

Purchased few bits

JAM2.jpg

Woop ep91 JAM ecu, seals intact etc

very happy at the minute.

not fitted it yet as the turbo is still off.

I finally ported the wastgate about 1/2mm with a hoover at hand(thanks to zac for the idea) :D

Ported the manifold enough!

Set the actuator at 0.9 bar

painted the mani with high temp paint(black)

fitted my cat bracket with allen key high tensil shiny bolts

My plan hopefully tomorrow(all going well)

to fit turbo, mani decat back on

and im also worried that the braided oil feed is going to leak,(due to the horror stories on here) its had a new gasket on it too! so touchwood it dont!

going to start the car up on standard ecu, make sure no problems arise. then fit the JAM.

Quite excited!

guessing i should leave the car to idle for 20 mins, to make sure it sets it self correctly?

you can see the the 2nd port on collector as the light shines bright through it:)

quick pics of the mani porting,

the one showing the porting was midjob, and just needing smoothing round.

spoiler wasnt to my taste, the new owner got a bargain, im just happy i have a standard one now.

After fitting the turbo back onto the car, it decided to shit itself and spit out oil

causing this

IMG_0492.jpg

:(

IMG_0490.jpg

guessing i need them gaskets lol

ep91 Gearbox 60k off andy:)

IMG_0493.jpg

So the same day i got my spare turbo on,

which is now on and running:)

no oil, no smoke and im happy:)

The car is currently running fine, but due to me going away for few weeks, will be garaged and battery taken off, so the alarm doesnt go off when my battery gets low.

I havent drove the car properly apart from when purchasing the car, so carnt wait to get insured when i come back into the country.

The speedo also decided to snap, after literally 1 mile max of driving. Internally. Which is weird,

the cable was straight as possible with no kinks.

so taking it back to toyota tomorrow and get one on warrenty.

Current spec

JAM ECU

Ported manifold

CT9 turbo

Braided oil feed

Some sort of hybrid CT9

:)

took my speedo back to toyota, had a few issuses with the people that work there,

had to buy another and they sent mine off for there technican to say it broke, and for them to claim the money back and give it to me, seems a faf!

but had a phone call today, saying i will be recieving my money next week  Happy.

The car will be put on the road, insured, taxed on my arrival back into the country. Just hope i have no big problems when it gets put on the road.

new collars and c spanners

9785fb62.jpg

Now on car and lowered just over arches but not even for scrapping!

I reset my actuator as it was boosting at 0.8 bar

709a4856.jpg

i set it at 1 bar this time 121mm

and its boost passed that (or on it)

and popping a fmic pipe off.

the one underneath (hot pipe)

at first it popped one side off(had a massive mikolar(changed with it)

then it popped off the back one)still a smaller mikolar

It boosts quick up to 1 bar and seems to pop it off and then rises up the boost to like 1.3 bar

is this because its overboosting?

or the actuator is set to high?

cheers lads
