Starbo Moorley Posted April 19, 2013 Author Share Posted April 19, 2013 So finaly my car is on the road and mapped !its been along time coming i must say lol.So my car died of what i suspect was ringland and headgasket failure.So i sourced an engine which i sent too TD for a stage 2 motor ! Whilst the engine was being built i unfortunately wrote of Micheal!'s old car that was owned by Jack-CTR, the insurance wrote the car off and i gathered a list of parts that id have from the car and Jack (who i cant thank enough) gave me a price i couldnt refuse !To put it simply ive had 90% of the car so its almost like weve reshelled his car with mine !The spec list is pretty damn long:TD Stage 2 forged engine (sold mine that i had built)440cc injectorsTd light weight flywheelPaddle clutch ( i now have 2 ! )Gearbox with lsd (unsure of what brand)EmuMiester coiloversWhiteline rear arbCusco adjustable Panhard rodand a fair few other bits i cant remember.So originaly i was gonna run my old wepr setup with a vf30 but then i got offered a rare blitz k3 turbo kit at a very good price so i couldnt refuse.So i eventualy got it all on and up and running with the help of alot of friends !So all was good then my turbo feed pipe decided too blow off and launched a fair bit of oil all over the bay, luckily i switched it off before any damage was done!Then on the way to rw-developments too get my exhaust sorted my bonnet decided too come up at 60 odd mph bending the bonnet out of shape which was soon sorted with a good kicking lol.Anyway after a few more niggles finaly got it too TD for its mapping session, ended up having too fit a new fuel filter and a rrfpr too fuel rail adapter as it was a wanky ebay pushon one and couldnt hold the pressure, with the injectors about maxed out (left a little safety) and the inlet manifold/head being restrictive, it made 309.7bhp at 1.4 bar.My lord its savage (once it gets on boost lol).Will update with pictures when im next near a computer !
