Xpect Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 A near standard NA EP91 with like 10-15l of Super unleaded in the tank weighs 870-880kg (1000kgs on a local junkyard where I asked to let my car weigh and I weigh roughly 120-130kg sadly). My car had only a few optional extras that may add or remove weight:Power SteeringElectrical Sunroof13" Optional 5-Spoke Toyota Alloys (are standard for my "Moonlight"-Edition)Corolla E11 intake manifold (which is quite a few kgs lighter than the stock one)Other than these there was nothing added or removed at that time. I assume the Glanza with its Air conditioning, Turbo-realated stuff and additional extras like central locking and electric windows would be like 50-70kg heavier. Quote
rob_bower Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) Nightspirits gt was very light but that thing was extreme. Poly windows no dash at all etc. Edited December 11, 2012 by rob_bower Quote
TrisK Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Nightspirits gt was very light but that thing was extreme. Poly windows no dash at all etc.extremely cool for a dedicated track car Quote
SiCaln Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Mine was a weighty beast, at the end of its life with stereo equipment in, but also with Cruise bonnet and wings it still tipped 1002kg!!! Quote
daniel_g Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Its amazing the weight you could strip out / replace with lighter parts, defo gonna try and get my GT sub 800kg.Also i'm sure there were light weight versions of the glanzas, with less equipment etc. Unsure about GTs though. Quote
morgey Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Yeah they are basically poverty spec, no electric windows, no parcel shelf, manual mirrors etc Just P/S and central locking iirc Quote
Amjad Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 That's way too poverty for me, my NA is like that and I'm counting down the days until I have such luxuries in the GT again haha Quote
Jack-CTR Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 (edited) Power steering is unneeded weight when moving but as a daily rather helpful Edited December 11, 2012 by Jack-CTR Quote
