Right not a lot has happened this month. As you probably know ive been having a few issues with the car so ive been trying to sort them.

I started by fixing the headlight adjusters, managed to get some second hand ones off a breaker and got them fitted up all perfect, and got the headlights aligned up

Then i decided to try and sort the running problem out. I got onto the case by ordering genuine Toyota parts in the form of a new rotor arm, and distributor cap from Gary on here, which has sorted the misfire out and made the car a lot more responsive . While i was there i decided to give her a good old service, So ordered Genuine Toyota oil and fuel filters, and give the iridiums a clean up as there were still like new so decided they could stay.

Car was running really really well a few days ago but now the idle has gone funny again. Its fine one minute but then when the fan kicks in the idle goes up and down and is just really lumpy does anyone have any ideas what that might be?? Also the clutch has decided to start slipping a little bit so a new clutch sometime soon will sort that one.

Mods will be back next month hopefully, should have some Christmas spending money then aswell

I have the same issue with the idle mate i have been told it could be the Lambda sensor or even take the inlet manifold off and give it a good clean.

glad to hear you're making headway buddy!

hope u get the idle sorted out man! Mark sorted his shitty idle and stalling by only using super unleaded which i'm now using myself. i know urs is a UK spec man, but perhaps where you get your fuel from it isn't the best????????? BP Vs Tesco?? just a thought buddy.

Cheers Phil, i only run her on BP Ultimate or V-Power mate so i dont think the fuel should be a problem to be honest. You never know though.

Good good, ive been running the same fuel since ive been driving it so thats why i never considered it a fuel problem.

It hasnt done it once today though!!

Right thought i would update this, so you know i havent lost faith.

Still trying to sort out this bloody idle problem, as it is slowly getting worse ;) Today me and some of my work mates set about flushing my throttle body, taking off my idle control Valve and giving it a good clean. Seemed to work at first and for a few hours but then the problem re-occured!! So i called in a Diagnostics specialist to get him to connect to my car to see if any fault codes arised. And guess what?? Thats right not one single fault code at all!!! He did however diagnose that the TPS Sensor my be at fault.

He said that he was gonna have a go at adjusting the TPS Sensor to see if the idle would sort itself out. Which it did but now its started again, however it is only moving about 200rpm now rather than shifting from like 2000rpm to about 100rpm!! He did say however that it should sort itself out in the Summer when the air isnt as cold, only time will tell if that'll happen.

It dosent seem to be harming the actual performance at all so it cant be too bad, i may just have to put up with it.

Oh yeah, still waiting on my secret mod being delivered, but they sent me a email yesterday to confirm that it shouldn't be too long

what idle issues are you having mate?

i some times get weird idle, what it does is i take the car out for a spin idles spot on about 1000 revs when come to a stop and put it in neutral then i stop the car and about 30 mins later i start the car again and my idle drops to 500-600 revs when put it in neutral gets its pretty annoying but i have ran out of ideas bought a new ICV, checked for air leaks etc

Have a good look over for air leaks round the inlet if it "hunting".

Also if you still need a clutch I've got a standard exedy replacement you can have cheaps
