andy91145
That really doesn't seem right to me this is driving like a mad man I really don't have a lead foot! Anything suggestions? I have a pretty much standard car but when I do go on boost I can watch the fuel needle drop.
andy91145
Also forgot to mention when you get out of the car you can smell it running rich

morgey
Fuel leak?
andy91145
Yes standard ecu, no fuelling mods standard fuel pump injectors etc etc, as for a leak I have checked over the pipes to be on the safe side they all seem to in good condition
Idrees
Is that around town or on longer runs?Lambda sensor in good working order? I would do a diagnostics test on it.
andy91145
That's a long run, doing 60mph I don't know to be honest how do I check it with a multimeter?
rmsnoel
Is the, fuel smell from under the bonnet? Ive seen leaking or sticking injectors cause this by leaking fuel when the throttle was off. What mods have u and what have you changed recently. Have y all sensors in there proper place
andy91145
It's when I get out of the car you as soon as I stick my head out you can smell its running rich. The engine is pretty much standard I'm sure I have a cracked standard manifold or something I have a weird squeaking noise when boost starts building when it's cold. Nothing has been fitted recently it's been like it since I have owned it and all sensors appear to there and plugged in. I have a low idle and some times it's really jerky and from idle if I rev it and let off the revs drop to the point where it almost cuts out
jellybaby
Also remember price of fuel etc so u paying more for less in the tank
andy91145
Well yeah but only like 10p more than regular
Hou
Roughly 26.5mpg, something deffo isn't right there
Ollieh17
that seems to be what i'm getting. Round town mpg with >standard mani>decat>jperformance catback>boost at 0.7 In the decat do you need to use the two lambdas at both ends or just the one at the beginning?
mikey4410
just top as this is lambda, second is cat orientated
Zeldoz
Gotta be a faulty lamba! I had same issue on my EP3 once and it woudnt annihilate my fuel gauge!
Ollieh17
I can't remember what sort of mpg i got before the de-cat. I know there is a slight leak from the lambda sensor, but thought i solved that. Could that be affecting mpg?Driving real gently im currently on 102 miles and just under the last line on the fuel gauge, so may just get 120miles
AdamWheatley
thats what i get, cost me a full tank to get to iddys from grimsby lol
Zeldoz
Glanza's arn't renowned for economy.. But they should return an acceptable MPG on a run...I did 150 miles last weekend round trip and it only used a just a tad over a quarter of a tank!
Ollieh17
i remember when i first got it, and was basically standard i'd get 35-40mpg
Glanza Mac
i get 300 miles to £55 of v power :-)Rob
