Skimmys 285bhp Forged TD04 glanza !!

Recommended Posts

Went and had the coilovers professionally setup by an old friend of my dads from the rallying that all he specialises in is suspension ... Fair to say it's like a driving a completely different car now. Excellent feeling and so much more responsive. Very happy indeed

I then decided to cut my front bumper (when I say me .. A panel beater in my work done it lol) and I'm very pleased with it.. Makes it look much more agresive.

I then stuck a tiny Numberplate to the front and that lasted one night and changed it for another with so much police about it was just asking for a pull, did look cool though.

I wouldn't run your turbo open like that mate, it only takes a small stone to give you a serious financial headache.

Apart from that, good to see you've got it back :)

Good spot there hadn't even noticed that !

Bussey is one the money there mate you need to mesh it or your regret it soon enough

Looking lovely pal! Love that interior. Interesting read about the forged business. Definitely swayed my mind about staying stock. Also, you could have just built that engine yourself. It's not rocket science, I mean it seemed like a long time to wait and the money you would have saved would have been nice. Plus if you dropped the engine and just sat and worked on it each night, sending the specialist bits off appropriately I'm sure you'd have done it AND more importantly, learned some new skills.

Also remember, those ACL bearings are only good for 25K miles, so be sure to get them replaced when the time comes. Another reason why I'll stay with the stock mains and internals. I think 200 bhp in a tin can with no safety features, that'll do me.

But yeah, love that interior. Prefer the rear seats in and those new wheels are much nicer than the Rotas you had. Overall a very sexy machine!

Haha thanks for that mate !

I'm so glad I went forged mate, if I could do it again I would go forged again, wouldn't put a standard one in.

And I would rather pay professionals to do the job right rather than mess about with it. Don't have enough time to mess about with things either with my rallying and stuff as that takes up narely all my time haha!!

But yea thanks for the comments mate. More updates coming shortly but I won't look back at going forged 😃!

And ontop of that, I feel I have learned a lot along the way of building this car, by speaking to mike and Nick and just learning about what parts make what difference to the handling or power etc and where the credit is due mike never once tried to sell me anything, simply told me what the advantages and disadvantages were of each part and pointed me in the right direction. And overall I am more than pleased with the service I recived from tuning developments. And on top of that I do feel like I have made 2 new friends down there aswell ! Great guys and although it's a long way my car will be getting done there everytime it needs work done,

Loved sourcing and trying to find parts I wanted for my build and over the moon with the power and performance figures !

So yea all in all a very enjoyable experience, and looking farward to the summer !

Cool build :) Liking the cage, similar to what im after ... if anybody see's anyone selling somethin similar, tag/message me :)

Keep up the good work, makes me wish i had started a build thread before the thousands i spent on mine :( aha

Thanks bud ! Yea I think the cage suits it down to the ground, going to take the tints off when I get a chance so the cage can be seen 😃!

Hopefully get some more progress on her over the winter, some bits painted and a good detail, looks like it's been washed with a half brick 😂but that's me just being picky.

Appreciate all the commebts guys, keep them coming !!
