Have a Athena 1.2mm headgasket to go in, fresh gaskets / seals here and there and a skimmed and rebuilt head to go on.
Cam Belt may as well be renewed while im at it and maybe even ARP bolts/new waterpump if i can find the cash.

Many thanks to Weejohn/Karl. and Chris as always for making this happen.

Will hopefully get her up and running soon ish.

Thanks chops hopefully get her back together soon!

Try brake international for the rebuild kits

Everything is well referenced on their site (no of pistons piston size etc etc) gives you some confidence tht your buying the right thing!

Never did mention that one of the reasons I considered selling the buddy clubs was I had sourced some sparco crimson ns2 alloys.

So I've decided to keep the buddyclubs eyes peeled on the forsale section if someone is looking some genuine Jdm lightweight wheels :)

Will be selling the sparco crimsons soon once I get good pictures

So lapping in up next

So to summarise my plan with the head, im replacing the exhaust valves and all the valve stem oil seals and lapping both exhaust and intake valves to get a fresh seal.

so whilst my exhaust valves are shiny new, i still need to get my intake valves looking worthy.

so thats what i got stuck into tonight.

781B79E2-3474-4396-A3E2-45BA1DA32960.jpg

Left old but polished, right old not polished.

then i lapped in the exhaust valves and got them numbered up to go back where they are matched to.

B1497C8A-E214-4392-8292-E7258AD9F1F6.jpg

tomorrow evening ill hopefully get the intake valves lapped in and then i can start looking at gasket matching and a mild port here and there.

then it'll be time for a final clean and re assemble.

anyone know the cost of new 4efte valve springs? or even the part number?

do old springs wear out much my car and head only has 50k on it so fresh ish but springs have small amount of surface rust

Chris green where is your SAfrica Toyota parts link?
