Dan Barnes
How well does that work and easy to do?
mikey4410
works superbly well to be honest.very pleased with it. its just like opening a boot operation wise. doesnt need 2 struts, put it that way !!! easy to do,took an hour as i painted and did everything with care. stucat87
Ha I did this also. Used Renault Clio struts as the are quite short so bonnet doesn't open to wide
daniel_g
Looks a good job, i've been meaning to do this for a while too.
smithyithy
Very interesting! I've just bought my car, and the trader threw in a free pair of brand new bonnet dampers, still boxed and wrapped etc, for a Supra.. Worried they might be too big but I'll get them out and see if they'll fit like this tomorrow

Dan Barnes
Any welding or just bolt on ?
mikey4410
no welding required at all just a micra boot gas strut and the end pieces attached on (to modify and fit)
rob_bower
Oh yea one is plenty I just used 2 for stability. I had to make 2 brackets and tap them for the ball joint end. The bracket I just used tech screws.
