Krissyb
BIG BIG UPDATE : Right I've been mad busy prepping the car and also Abbotts car for the Ring, now I'm home with the old girl safe and sound and have sorted some bits it's time for an update. Well after coming back from Deans and Abbott and Halifax helping get the car ready I went to Ed @ Fusion motorsport for a nice safe road map. We set off and I bought the car on boost ................. Clutch slip, so to cut a long story short I went for a nice CC Clutch and fitted it along with a perfect condition flywheel, new rear crank seal and new drive shaft seals. I also Installed a set of Powerflew mounts, HT Leads and also my Greddy Oil cooler. A massive thanks to Abbott for letting me have the oil cooler and not paying for it, of course I will one day ;-). The clutch is lovely and car now runs like a dream. Pics below :-). Once the car was back on the Road it was off to a mates for a quick Geo setup new track rod ends, unseize the rear calipers and fit the rear panhard rod, also a general check over before heading over to the ring for my Annual trip. Fitting the cooler. All back together and a clean and polish before going to the Docks on the 1st of May, It has always been on my hit list to take the Starlet so I thought hey I left the P1 tucked up in the garage and took the Starlet. We arrived safely at our usual Hotel and had an amazing amount of fun on the way down with the rest of the guys, the car performed amazing. I managed some quickish laps but as soon as it dried out and I pushed I killed my WMS brake upgrade as Abbott was behind me and all he could smell was brakes, come round a few more corners and saw me indicating over. Like a good mate he drove past laughing :-). Anyways so next year I'll be upgrading the brakes and also the suspension as mine is now knocking it's tits off..... Some pics of the trip. Adjusting panhard rod.

Amjad
How did you manage to cook WMS's?
TimD
Glad it's up and running, really like that turbo setup. Do you have a power graph from mapping? You don't cook calipers.. What pads were in it? How new is the fluid? How much were you braking? There are a lot of variables to brakes, the last one can be more of an issue than people think. Had a few people set brembos on Scoobs on fire ;-). In terms of me cooking the brakes it was a general term as in they were defo not slowing me down. Pretty dissapointed in them so far but my rear discs are still not working so nice rears and pads and a good bleed and they should be okay.
