Hunty
Purchased a new project to do alongside my starlet My mum originally purchased it to do herself but after 2 years she has realised she probably wont finish it so I took the opportunity and snapped it up Plans for it is to fit a 2.0 zetec type 9 gearbox on either bike carbs or throttlebodies if budget allows also will change the front suspension and steering etc to an older escort set up as the standard suspension is pants. Going to keep the interior fairly standard but it will get a re-trim and respray as its not in the best condition at the moment, haven't fully decided on colour yet but I quite like them in a light creamy colour will also get lowered and will sit on some banded steels Will update once some parts turn up. Jhandy
What it needs is a big block Ford sitting in that bay. Scrap the zetec idea.
Rob H@RCH Engineering
Yep Zetec is the last thing I would put in that!! 2JZ more like!! or big V with blower!!
Jhandy
2j would ruin it. Keep it old school with carb injected bgf
yaristurbo
Awesome! I was gonna 4age one for a daily
shorty
No way nothing new. Chevy small block mate! Or a rover v8 as can pick them up cheap as you like. Dead simple to work on and brilliant sound! Chevy block has more grunt though and sounds as good if not better. Got few hotrods local to me all awesome cars and some so standard its untrue!
rwdrev
nice, heres mine was going to go pro street with it (might do at a later date yet) but for now was thinking of going either 4age or redtop and type 9, anglia 105 back axle and escort front suspension. i have got an 8x4 sheet of plate on order and wouldnt mind gettn a move on with it soon. i like both comfy and hot rod look, as a daily the zetec would be ideal, although the yank v8's would be better the fuel bill for it would be silly. keep this updated, nice to see how you get on.
