Black Intercoolers do increase performance

Recommended Posts

Be good for people sitting up the strip at Santa pod. But being black it will also absorb heat as well as radiate it. So could have an adverse effect sitting in a hot engine bay.

Also needs to be kept out of direct sunlight to maximise it's worth

Load of bollocks IMO, by the time they sprayed it the outside temperature could have changed so it's hardly a scientific test, and either way the difference when there's air going through it is minimal, and that's what's important.

The only reason you'd really spray an intercooler black is to hide it.

i dont think its bollocks in theory black should work better, but there are many variables that come into play, most things are discovered by accident & we benefit from there by product eg wort +yeast= alcohol+c02
