I've kept my stock one just simply because there is more air hitting the surface area and never seen a reason to change it, but I will be going civic rad just because of the room side of things, it's out the way if you need to change things I can't see any making that much difference without a upgraded thermostat...

Not got a turbo but is 1.6, when i changed from my stock na rad to a civic alloy rad my car struggled to get up to temp and actually over cooled and switched back onto cold idle if i was cruising and pulled up to some traffic lights etc.

Im not running a cooling panel or anything Extra just changed my rad

The civic dual cores are really good, much better than the shitey oem rad, i ran my 85 without a rad for nearly a month and also ive no heater system, using a oem thermostat aswell.

Not once did it overheat, even after a heavy drive and idling at the lights etc.

Had the 3 core in the old GT.

Both were half sized rads

The biggest problem with cheep aftermarket rads is the vains are too small and restrictive and can put more load on the water pump and this can be seen on the dyno. The more expensive rads like fluidyne radiators flow much better and give better results.

As above I've got a wee duel core civic rad and it keeps temps perfect only really hot days and idling for a long time does it actusly rise to a point the fan kicks in

My mates dual civic shat itself, water temp gauge saved his engine I have seen a few people on here complaining about the fans aswell the thing that I worry about is aftermarket mani right next to the oem rads surely the heat can't be good haha

Dual core civic rad, slimline fan, anti freeze and low temp thermostat and haven't seen my gauge go anymore than a third of the way up
