Galliano Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 its a lock up.. if my garage was that big it would be empty very good work idrees/tayyib Quote
gaz Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Looks good, mate you should start up a rep business lol Quote
Tayyib Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 well hopefully i may do this, depending on if i go back to college to continue with mechanics or paint operations in september, if i do then i will definately be opening a garage in the next few years. Quote
Idrees Posted March 29, 2008 Author Posted March 29, 2008 You still can't paint though so there won't be any spray painting service without me Quote
Sparky Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 How easy is it to fit the numberplate surround?Toying with the idea of a CF one Quote
Idrees Posted March 29, 2008 Author Posted March 29, 2008 Pretty straight forward.I trial fitted it with the reverse lights out and made a marking on the tailgate for the the reverse lights because they stick out fromt the back, therefore the tailgate is too shallow for them. Then I got the angle grinder out and made two big holes. Put loads of bonding glue on the tailgate and inside of the plate surround to ensure it doesn't rattle, stuck it on with masking tape holding it in place and put the two nuts back on from the inside of the tailgate. Quote
Tayyib Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 that depends which way i go mechanics/bodywork, but if i dont do bodywork then there is always u to do it lol Quote
Sparky Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Cool I thought the tailgate would need grinding for the plate holder to fit flush Quote
Idrees Posted April 5, 2008 Author Posted April 5, 2008 Just thought I'd add a few new pictures and some very small updates..Random one of mine..Raised bonnetIce white headlight bulbs(Old on the right and new on the left)The car is now running on a 5EFE ECU Quote
scutch0 Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 nice pics, when is it being painted?surely it'll have a much lower rev limit with a 5e ecu? Quote
Dean @RW-Developments Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 looks like its coming along nicely mate Quote
Nanglebadger Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 comin along great and really quick too!Keep it up guys!Phil. Quote
Tayyib Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 im not sure there is a rev limit difference, but oh wel its running on this ecu until conversion now, respray will be in 6-7 weeks hopefully. Quote
Idrees Posted April 6, 2008 Author Posted April 6, 2008 According to the rev needle, it hits the limiter at 6200. That is obviously not accurate though. From sitting in the passengers seat it does feel like it redlines quicker than it did before but not so much difference. If I'm spraying it, it will be after all my exams which will be the end of May.
