BMX-RIG
As the colder weather draws in, and the car is used less, i decided i would add onto this for those who are interested. This may come in sections but i will try make it as up to date as possible. Back in may ‘17 Aircon regas as the summer was becoming hot. I decided to switch short shifter. The car came with a TRD one but i had previously had a C’s short shifter in my SR rep which i loved. Here are some comparison photos, Trd is black and the C’s is chrome. Fairly easy job, upon changing the C’s shifter had a much better throw. It also sat higher and closer. I attended various shows and meets throughout the summer. Just gunna upload a few from different places. I then managed to pick up some rubber Toyota mats. I only have a photo of the rears atm. Heres a photo of the rears straight after picking them up. The actuator was tired and the car was struggling to make anything more than .4, i bought a new hks actuator and adjusted it accordingly to make standard boost. Scenic photo, Then in late october, i went with a good friend to Dublin to pick up his new car.(starlet) While there i had arranged to buy a couple of items. TRD centre console trim. TRD fuel tank cover. I then set about restoring it to its former glory. Complete with a new sticker. ill leave it there for now, shall continue soon!

Sadly i have t got round to finishing them yet and have been sat upstairs at work since this time last year (October ‘17) I will get them finished... I managed to pickup a brand new RS-R panhard rod. Fitted photos to come. I already had a used one to go on which i removed from breaker vehicle but managed to do a swap with a blitz decat so win win all round. Photo from Donington that year and one from doing an oil amd filter change. Then a few from a local jdm meet. The car was used vert sparingly over the winter months. Only used if it was dry out during the daytime and to keep the battery charged. My replacement daily Reflet X on the driveway due to change of circumstances with the Sr. A friend also upgraded his brakes so snapped up his WMS setup and brought them back to life. Looking far from the original black i set about freshing them up and with suggestions from friends i choose to paint them an oem silver. I had a spare set of rear calipers so i did the carrier while i was doing the fronts as i need to buy a rebuild kit for the rears still. New stickers made up and applied. Disc size comparison before fitting during Results sadly the speedlines dont expose them very much. This update takes us up to February ‘
BMX-RIG
Ill keep this update more brief this evening. Between February and april the car was rarely used. Heres a few photos, The paintwork on the car is always something i wanted to address. I had done the bumpers and that was about it up until April. First up was the bonnet. Etch primed The scoop on the car had one broken tab so i used the one of my spare glanza bonnet which is destined for the Reflet. 2k primed. Rubbed out and ready to paint. Base coat. Then lacquer and final result. still much more to come.
BMX-RIG
Next up was the bootlid, I stripped it down fully and had the glass removed. I picked up some Regamasters for a steal of a price while this was going on so took a trip up north to pick these up. Had to fit one to see how it looked. Back to the bootlid. It then went into etch and 2k primer. Spoiler and surround included, Primer flatted it was then painted. Car was taken out of the oven to cool off and so i could sort the spoiler and surround. All 4 regas on at this point. Spoiler and surround prepped and painted. Eyeing up the gold badge, All polished, new stickers and gold badge applied. My new wheels then failed me so i had a quick change up, Reasons why in the next update...

BMX-RIG
The wheels failed me when i came to pump them up... An all aluminium valve and cap had all corroded together so i go some mole grips on them to undo the cap ans this was the result, Both front wheels did this. Not to worry, ill run down to the local garage to get them to put some rubber valves in. The hole on the regas are much smaller than regular wheels. This was all new to me as all my other wheels have always used regular valves. Being far more common than i was aware of i managed to buy a set on ebay. All valves changed to stainless ones and i used plastic caps instead. Few photos with George97 V-Power top up A few rolling ones, Then these two were on the run up to Japfest at Silverstone. Tyres changed, to be continued Edited November 20, 2018 by BMX-RIG

It was one of those impulse buys, i was unsure how it would look but a few friends questioned why i had not already bought it. With that i went and picked it up the same afternoon lol. It has really grown on me since, it also has a flap in the middle to draw air staright in the sunroof!
BMX-RIG
Japfest 2018 Convoyed in with 5 other starlets. A few on the way there, Didnt get any before photos, but i changed the white clips that hold the indicators in as mine had some tabs missing and were not holding them tight enough. I then had a planned trip to the Isle of Wight. Its a yearly thing now and always an enjoyable trip. The car gets a good clean before.
BMX-RIG
Isle of Wight 2018 Awesome trip down, rained a little on the way down but other than that it was mostly dry. BMX-RIG
Week after returning home it was time for JDM Combe. UKSO do not attend castle combe anymore since japfest 1 is now held at silverstone, so i attended it with a smaller Starlet club. It was my first time a Castle Combe since having the glanza and it was a very enjoyable day! A good variety of cars and some friendly people. BMX-RIG
Continuing on for the last post, ill keep this one short and sweet until later. Tidied up the feet on the recaro rails. Small lack of photos but im sure youll get the general idea. It was only really the foot photographed that needed doing as the others have caps. Few photos after cleaning before a show at the cotswold wildlife park in oxford. Typically a Ford show, but due to my connections within a group within the rsoc I managed to sort out our own Jap stand Next up, Japfest 2! Next up, filling some blanks... Coin holder Some more later on.
