anyone used a vf 35 on a 4e before??
Phil replied to jayc-glanza17's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
i dont think we have enough data on greddy td05 14bs too few people have run them to really know their upper limit though that are specced to flow up to 2bar by greddy. as for upgrades greddy make a whole range of external only actuatorless triangle flanged turbos up to and beyond what a 4e could spool, but its definitely a whole lot of money compared to a stock IHI/MHI unit. No a means tested one, like XXk he has to pay off and is taken from his employer at source. not one he has a choice about paying. now i understand that if he is a wee rat bag on benefits he can dodge paying till he dies, but that involves him deciding they are going to be a wee rat bag that makes nothing of themselves which is a pretty harsh sentence to put unpon yourself. so either we would pay as much and fast as possible of this massive fee, or never get a real job. Prison is a pointless punishment for accidents. a massive fine would be better. Make it profitable for taxpayers rather than expensive. Phil

You got a standalone ecu? Personal I'd go tdo4l high compression 4e with cams for track work. Phil -

My Tuning Developments Forged NIGHTMARE and The End of the GT
Phil replied to Starbuck's topic in Negative Feedback
Yeah to be fair to the guys Im often guilty of not reading a whole thread before posting and I also hate slagging threads especially of traders. But there is fact an fiction. some customers builds work great Fact some do not Fact I've no doubt TD would rather these failures didn't happen at all, and I hope they go on to improve and get better rather than just bigger. My Tuning Developments Forged NIGHTMARE and The End of the GT
Phil replied to Starbuck's topic in Negative Feedback
Lads, yous are missing the point completely. Starbuck said in his first post that TD have many Happy and unhappy customers nobody is doubting you exist? So why are suggesting that there are no real unhappy customers? you think there is happy customers and hard to please customers? this what businesses always hide behind. starbuck has had TDs work fail. not other parts, their engine. That is a totally daft summary Jim*, simple fact is you cant please people by failure you can please them with success. a) you pay money everything works great = your happy- 96 replies

My Tuning Developments Forged NIGHTMARE and The End of the GT
Phil replied to Starbuck's topic in Negative Feedback
Getting to the point of knowing who you are happy with is the problem. by then your 5k worse off and its too late. can happen either way, as proven by you. You are happy Starbuck is not. Same tuner. different results. (apart form your engine being wrecked by the sounds of things thats similar) Phil- 96 replies

ball bearing turbos running water lines?
Phil replied to EPnick22's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Yeah Greddy are the same on alot of turbos, where oil cooling is adequate water isnt used. that would add weight to the idea that when a turbo has them you should use them. That said ive ran a td04 for yonks few years ago and no issues without waterlines. epnick no idea about td04/vf24 waterlines. Phil -

all those figures are mental, and truth is its because RaceTech/TD/Jefferies arent working out of a shed. Id far prefer to be paying a good tuners time than his overheads, so Guru with a shed for me everytime. Phil
