  1. Yep, I have a clutch for sale Adam. Take a look and let me know if you want it. I've noted issues I had with the release bearing, but it seems to be a luck of the draw thing with these clutches. As far as I know, they take a standard release bearing. http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/97284-spec-stage-3-6-puk-clutch-12400-miles-done-christmas-price-drop/
  2. What do the Enkeis look like out of hand? Always love to see Jap 14" wheels
  3. Those wheels look fantastic on the car, and against that colour!! Brilliant work thus far Pete, makes me feel bad for not doing anything to my GT for a while! What's next after the boot floor?
  4. Good to see you posting about the wagon again! Continuing the quest to keep things tidy it seems!
  5. That is actually shit scary. How under stress must that thin bit of metal be when braking?! Madness. (Also hello Luke; long time no see stranger )
  6. Yep The collapsed bearing had worn too much on the stub axle to consider using it. Bearing went very quickly, wasn't a gradual wearing like the other side did a few months earlier.
  7. Quite some time since I updated this last! Well, window problem was 'fixed'. Had the door all apart when I looked over to the drivers side and noticed there was such a thing as a passenger window lock button... Hou was not amused when I told him, as he was the one complaining on the way down to JF2 about not being able to put it down Since then, I've had the horrible cloudy, faded, aged tints taken out and replaced with new tints. Absolute nightmare to get them out, even when having to resort to a stanley blade to scrape them off, the tint was turning into powder. Anyway, that got done and
  8. I had a passenger ride in a very nicely setup M3 a few years ago, and all I could think of were his seats! Cobra Imola Pro, very very nice, and wide enough for my fat arse. Just enough padding. I got the feeling that they wouldn't be uncomfortable daily at least.
  9. Welcome to the site! In terms of power, there isn't a right lot you can do with the 4E-FE N/A engine. One of the best mods is to source an inlet manifold from the 'bugeye' Corolla that also utilised a 4E-FE; these can net an increase of around 10hp. Other than that, there is also a certain exhaust manifold that can be used that has a 4-2-1 branch design, but I'm not sure what car that came from, as well as changing the exhaust system for a custom freer flowing system. Handling is where you can really concentrate with the N/A Starlet, with most, if not all handling mods that are available for
  10. Looking sweet! Would you not be tempted to source SS suspension again, or is it that much of a ballache?

  12. A small joy I had when the 50mph roadworks was in effect on the motorway was creeping up on those people who were going slower than 50 and checking to see if they had their window open. Then I'd give them a quick blat of external wastegate Immature but made me crease every time! Also counting how many raised eyebrows or expressions amounting to 'that's broke mate' when at big meets and I'm hunting around for a spot to park in with the ORC309 rattly clutch.
  13. I daily mine. Forged lump as the cylinder walls were too worn so rather than risk wasting money on another secondhand engine, I decided to go the whole hog. Running a standard CT9 on 0.7bar. Talk about wasted potential :D Other than more frequent oil top ups, I've not had any issues really, other than normal maintenance. Old g'box went though, which I just put down to age. BHP is approx 164 (figure from RR @ TD).
  14. May be a bit hard to do, consididering EP82 Touge's location... If I had a second car, I would quite happily lend him my GT as I only live 30 mins away from Preston. Alas, my GT is my daily
  15. Nice bit of progress there! Just for track, or will you be using it for hillclimbing as well?
  16. Aren't Desmonds Russian or something anyway?
  17. I've let the admin team know
  18. Such a nice Mk1. So glad you didn't break/sell up!
  19. Bloody hell, been a long time since I saw that name!! Glad to see you got John's V, it's certainly in good hands now! Welcome back to the fold mate
