Bluebear replied to Chief Quimby's topic in Video Gallery
^ Seen a KP with a normally mounted 2JZ. Looked immense. Didn't know you were on here too Golden! -
Not surprised, tattoos are quite associated with the Yakuza gangs.

Needs moar CL4PTR4P

Back when we were firing up the GT for the first time, we wondered why it would never fire up. Turns out we forgot to put the fuel hose going *to* the rail on! That could have turned a bit... warm.
-
Ooh, that's a good idea actually.

Plenty of dirt cheap Corolla T-Sports going about.

Nice to see you still posting mate! Some lovely machining work happening here

I'm in the same boat. Been wanting to see one of these forever, but lack of funds says otherwise Too much other shit needs spending on the GT.

Differences between Orc 309 clutch
Bluebear replied to Scottyboy575's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
I do actually have a nearly new Ogura release bearing here that I had imported. Would have used it with my current ORC kit, but because of the size differences, I'm running the worn one that came with it -
Bad news for you Matt, no longer will you be a special snowflake

You will need an Ogura one! They are physically longer than the OEM release bearings. -
Anyone get pics off me on track? White Sr

To further throw things into the mix, my old ORC and the one I've recenty got off socks are slightly differing in the height of the release bearing and the lengths of the standoffs that bolt the pressure plate to the flywheel! Both are the rattle type. EDIT: Wallace, are you sure it's the one on the right? Both of mine rattled, and the loose ring looks like the one on the left. -
Surely raising a bonnet at the rear isn't going to evacuate any hot air? What with it being in a high pressure zone due to the air meeting the bottom of the windscreen.

Was it an K11? Sounds like it might be Chris Ireland, he has or had a red K11 with a homemade turbo kit on it!

Chavy?! It's a bog-standard EP80 lol, barring a few bits and bobs. Lord help them if an import was sat there...

I know quite a few people that have gone for HEL lines custom and been very impressed, seems like they're a good bunch then! -
Some of the locals (not on UKSO) are having a mini-meet at Sainsbury carpark in Colne this Sat at 8:30. I may be there, or watching Mad Max haha, not sure yet.

Good luck I've been looking for oil temp and pressure ones for yonks now. Half-tempted to say sod it and plump out for some Stri ones from TD.
-
Ty, you were looking so pumped up to get your V sorted and get it driven when we were speaking to you at the TD rolling road day!! Don't get rid, you'll regret it. Sure, you spent a fair bit on it, but you spent that amount to gain enjoyment out of it. What would the point be in getting rid of it before you have a chance to see your hard work and money put to the use that it was intended?

Might be worth getting a camera down into the spark plug wells to see the tops of the pistons?
