I have a set of fatter fhe rods, and a set of oversize forged pistons id do as a combo deal if your interested!
  3. Yeah im lending it to someone dialing their car in for a rolling road day atm.
  4. Thats a mad old bit of engineering there, its going to be a nightmare to plumb in the whole lot all over the place! in regards to the welding in tight spaces, all you can really do is plan your assembly very carefully if using mig, or learn to weld stick as you can get it into much tighter spaces (its pretty cheap too)! sometimes, you need to cut things off of a job, or cut the whole job in half, to access an area you need to weld then join the two back up, its very annoying when your working to time constraints!
  5. bump, im having fun with this now lol, see if i can get a for sale thread with 1000 views and not a single buyer!
  6. Taking a look through this for some inspiration for my new white shell, loving the look of it with the livesport lip mate!
  7. i have the aircon compressor bracket, pm me when you want it!
  8. i all kinds of want the bonnet, i dont suppose a deal can be worked out for it and that half rad if you still have it by next fri?
  9. No sorry, I cant include postage of a turbo for 130! there's no smoke at all, its barely even run in and is surely the closest you can get to finding a brand new standard ct9 these days! shaft play is something all journal bearing turbos have in small amounts due to their design, this turbo has as little shaft play in it as the day it was made I can assure you
  10. Item For Sale: Standard ct9, ported and rotatable. Item Condition & Description: This is my ct9a, which was rebuilt about a year ago by liamd on here at midlands turbos. it was built using the choice parts from 2 ct9s I sent, has had its wastegate ported and i believe has the pin on the compressor side removed making it possible to rotate, but ill have to have that confirmed by Liam as I've forgotten. It's done around 3/4000 miles very nearly all at standard boost, with about a week of 12 psi after i fitted an ebc, but my car was written off so it was short lived. I ran it at 16 p
  11. bump, make me offers on anything, Im really not that fussed about the price of any of these at all!
  12. When you weld two things of different thicknesses, you should try to aim slightly off the corner onto the thicker metal, 'pushing' the weld into the corner. this should help you not blow through the thinner metal. looks pretty good for a new welder mate, welding is something that takes a lot of practice to get good at, get some scrap bits to weld together if you can!
  13. yeah, whitenoize sold me a pretty minty white one with 60k miles on, and no uk owners, so I've got my new project! found the lsd my gbox has is a swanky internal jobbie, and have lined up all the parts ill need to do my compound build. gonna be a big push to get it all together and on the road before jfest, but i reckon I can do it!
  14. Id turn the heat up, im not the big welder though i showed it to my coded colleage and asked him. Your set looks pretty basic, most i come across haved the feed rate in m/s and the heat in amps. Obvious suggestion i know but you may just have to look up what good welds look like and play with your sets settings till you can do runs that look like them!
  15. Alas youve found my old shell, its still mine by the way dont go asking for bits off it lol! Need to get the front sus off it for my new shell!
  16. Turn your heat up a little, or turn your feed down depending on how thick the metal is, your looking for less bulbous flatter sides to your runs. The hole in one end run is porosity, thats no good at all, but all in all theyre not the end of the world. The brown stuff is normal, just brush it off!
  17. ALL REQUESTS TO BE PM'D TO ME PLEASE!
  18. Paid up, gonna have to work pretty damn fast to be ready in time!
  19. I ripped it to bits today, didnt take too many picks of it and its pretty much standard inside and out.ill upload some more in a bit
  20. Bump, 450 odd views and not a damn thing sold, that's a bit embarrassing lol!
