i seem to remember reading somewhere that these share parts/underpinnings from 90s civics, egs or ej/k. might be worth looking into for cheap uprated parts prehaps. make sure you get a 'rovertaken' sticker for it lol!

Cusco 6 Point Roll Cage (Rear Seat Friendly)
Chops replied to Idrees's topic in Starlet Parts For Sale
Im interested in this, can i ask for a guesstimate of how much it weighs and what it actually bolts to? Presumably some drilling is required? -
I have a slightly battered side exit i bought and never did anything with, pm me if your interested

Thats the chunkiest bracket of all time lol. Another thing that i was wondering come to think of it, liamd rotated my intake to face downwards when fitted, where does the piping from that setup go to get to the intercooler lol. I was gonna chop the flange off the ct9s first intercooler pipe and rotate the turbo to mach the old ct9s position. This would put the bolt holes for the actuator on completely the wrong side of the turbo annoyingly, i need to make a bracket to do that. Also, ive suddenly remembered some td04 setups arnt stock rad friendly, i have no idea if my kit will fit lol.

I used to have a k11 micra that i fitted a big primera airbox to. The airbox sat right on top of the throttle body, and had a large snorkely tube coming off it going right round the bay to behind one of the headlights. Everyone on the old msc forums used to go on about ti being a cold air feed but actually it was more to do with resonance and intake velocity. With the snorkel on it had noticably more torque lower down in the rev range, whereas without it felt better at the top end, flying off the end of the tacho at 9k lol. (It also sounded like it had itbs when the snorkel was missing lol, g

Hi all, im in the process of finalising all the parts ill need to fit my tf035, and have a few problems. Im going to be using the original water feeds, ive heard somewhere you can run td series turbos without with no problems but i want to be thorough with this install, and id like to know whether it matters which port the water is fed into. I also want to use the internal gate for now as im not really going to be running hectic boost, and was wondering if theres an actuator or bracket that suits a forester tf rotated to suit a starlet, long shot i know lol but i thought id ask. Finally, i wa

Advice please - suspension and handling
Chops replied to turbominicooper's topic in Chassis & Suspension
i rock an rsr adjustable panhard, rsr lowering springs, oem rear brace and a whiteline anti lift kit and find its super responsive without the crashy speedhump skuffing nature of cars with coilovers on bullshit british roads. id consider a more road friendly set up and add parts till your happy bud. -

i have a set of 5 13'' compomotive cx1359 alloys from the 80's thatd look pretty mean on this come to think of it, 2 of which are still unused in their original box . i bought em for my micra but it died of rust, and they wont fit under my levin twinpots on the starlet or id use em on that for cushy winter tyres drop me a pm if your interested! -
That's unbelievable, some people just need shooting, fucking scum. had the locks been damaged, or was it just straight up pointless arson?

I agree completely with aaddzz rant at the top, pisses me off alot when peeps break their cars completely when theyre done with them, cause they know its worth more in parts than complete. it happens to a lot of cars like starlets this age, start getting broken left right and centre for a quick quid till there's precious few left that are suddenly worth a bomb. when cars get to a certain age and rarity ie pretty difficult to obtain parts and things for, ive always felt you should consider yourself more of a custodian than an owner, having fun with it till its time to move on and let someone el

yeah, the impreza wagons got td04s and the saloons got td05s, only physical engine difference between the wrx and the sti for years was the ecu, although some of the later mk1 stis got forged internals as standard for a while iirc. Peeps always want the turbo bigger than the one they got lol. ive got a tf035 now, its the right size but looks a mess, i might have liamd on here rebuild it for the peace of mind.
