when fitting them did you tighten the d bracket up with the car off the ground or on the ground?
-
Money talks. Wouldn't not sell something on facebook to try get people back on a forum. Times are changing, move with them or get left behind.
-
Yh mate!!!Are you still after the black afr face?

Haha got some spares there! I'm in Gloucester

Go new. Never know how old the sensor is etc. They are £80 if you need to buy another

Also, an engine can have low compression and be perfectly healthy.
I know people on here were getting 110 PSI across all four cylinders after a rebuild.
The key is ACROSS all four.
So ensure that all cylinders are of similar condition.
That's not true. 110 is far too low unless it's a low comp build.
Look at wiring, if that is bodged it's a good indication what the rest of the car might be like.
Buy the most expensive/best one you can afford.
Check normal things like oil etc
-
The main thing that affects oil pressure is the bearings and large oil clearances.id drop the sump and look at the bearings. If okay change the pump. Shinning valve is a bit of a bodge

Stick it on Facebook groups

thats the one I have, broke once and they replaced the whole thing. 300nm is plenty for most jobs tbh. For a hobby it will do the job, obviously not mechanic standard.
-
I have a nielsen one off eBay.about £70 perfect for what you want.Saves alot of time taking wheels off etc
-
I've found on retro rides just refreshing the page loads all the photos. Doesn't seem to work on here though
-
don't mean anything by this but why do people K Swap the EK9? Surely in the first place you are paying the premium mainly for the engine? Wouldn't a EK4 make a better base to modify
-
I don't think they are bad at all tbh I've had them in nearly all my starlets not sure what the fuss is about with them people say it feels like there interior is going to fall apart I've never experienced that at all
My CD surround used to fall out weekly tbf. But that was because everything had been apart and banged back together with a mix of screws. Apart from that didn't think they were that bad. But then I'd never choose to daily a starlet ever again

Going down to JAE today so might not have chance to look until Sunday but will let you know ASAP!
Hope JAE went well.did you get a chance to.have a look?

Light fly will likely make it worse. I've made my own mounts on a different car. Pretty straight forward
-
haahaa, I only cause beef where necessary.
-
More likely to find another buyer than you are to find another stock auto glanza though
-
I get what they are saying. As could be just forged pistons etc. But then fully forged would obviously include more than rods and pistons
-
Blitz gauge is fine for now. You still need to keep your stock ecu pending what ecu you choose. You will need an ebc if your running external wastegate you should make 200 stock ct9's make 200.
Not at the wheels
-
haha function over form
-
that oil feed running over the slam panel would bug me lol
-
200 at the wheel will be a struggle especially at 0.8bar
-
Then you have 6mm gravel stuck in there? At least nuts are easier to get out
-
Doubt they'll let it slide. You'll most likely get a ban and not be able to insure a glanza again. Harsh but the likely outcome
Things to look for on a second hand engine

500-600. Compression test, videos of it running. With engine out the car wouldn't be too hard to whip a couple of caps off and check the bearings
