  1. One question! How come you don't have a engine strut brace on this car with it being such a monster?
  2. get what you need first you want it running spot on then make it look good :-)
  3. You buy the seals as a set of four anyhow I think the gasket kit was £26 off the top of my head!
  4. I have a engine that needs stripping and rebuilding the ringlands have gone! I'm not sure what It's worth, I also have a ct9 turbo in good working order, apexi exhaust system the back box has a hole in it but the rest of the system is fine. I just wanted an idea of what I could expect to sell for!
  5. Looks like you need new spark plug seals going on the oil around the thread on them plugs! I had the same on mine! It's cheap and easy to fix.
  6. As title ^^ I'm after a speedo cable in working order this side of Christmas if possible.
  7. Glws dude, If I had the spare cash I'd have the flywheel :-)
  8. Very trustworthy guy ;-) I purchased a forged engine, turbo kit and coilovers from Gordon, he kept in contact with updates as to how he was getting on with removing the parts from the car, it all arrived save and sound and was very well packed. Even afterwards he gave me a call to make sure it had all arrived safely and said if I had any questions just to give him a call, I can vouch for Gordon he's a really good guy who I'll hopefully do business with again :-) Mike
  9. So I spent some time today trying to get my speedo working, I started with checking the cable was in the back of the clocks and it seems to be clipped on fine, next step was to check the gearbox end, I unscrewed the cable from the gearbox and couldn't find anything wrong apart from the metal skirt witch crimps onto the black outer cable had been pulled off my question is would this cause the speedo not to work? I'm just guessing but it looks like it's supposed to create tension on the cable! Any views I'll try and post a picture tomorrow as I forgot to take one today.
  10. Cheers lad's, It feels connected to the gearbox so I've got a feeling it's come out the back of the dials I'm going to have a look at it today to find out what's going on.
  11. you need a timing light to time the ignition timing properly it's 5mins for a mechanic to do! Also have you done a compression test on the cylinders to rule internal problems? Also try removing the standard bov and blocking the holes up to eliminate that being the problem unlikely it's that but you should check it to be sure. Hope you get it sorted bud
  12. have you checked for boost leaks? Is the ignition timing correct? Bov could be leaking!
  13. All up and running :-D I need to replace the speedo cable any diagrams would be helpful as I can't seem to find anything! new seals and blue leads
  14. Quick update got some goodies in the post to sort out the misfiring ;-) rocker cover gasket set from id-works and ignition set from tuning - development
  15. just ask Mike for the dimensions of the bolt and compare/measure it against the thread on the block and you will have your answer!! ;-)
  16. When I joined I was more than happy to pay the £2 membership as it supports the club and allows it to keep running, it's not just a case of selling on here, it's also about the benefits from getting technical support and answers to questions. £2 for helpful information is f*ck all! you spend more on an app for your phone! eBay used to be good but now days there are to many people scamming with two eBay accounts I've had this problem a few times witch has put me off selling on eBay +the crazy fee's ;-)
  17. Sounds lovely :-) good to see a k26 there's not many videos about! Good job with the interior looks mint.
  18. Intercooler piping, vacuum pipe, manifold gasket, de-cat gasket, turbo to manifold gasket.
  19. Because your turbo is working it nuts off to get boost in at 4k the simplest way to explain is its like you trying to blow up a balloon with a hole in it! It takes longer to blow up and more effort! Spray soapy water on the joins with the engine running and give it a quick sharp rev and look for bubbles ;-)
