  1. I'd take the decat depending on price! Pm me if you decide to split
  2. I use greasedlightning showroom shine it's awesome stuff, video's on their website
  3. posted before I'd finished typing, I've had bovs that have leaked and on braking to a standstill witch have caused it to cut out, but I'm not running a bov! And I think my ecu plays with the timing (blitz access) don't know if that could be advancing the timing to much!
  4. It idles fine and timing has been done with a light 10°advanced, the reason I mentioned vacuum is I've had bovs
  5. As titled every now and then my engine will cut out, It's seems to do it going down hill rolling to a stop my water temp also drops witch I think is a air lock and if I give it wot when the temp has dropped it shutters and hesitates I've already done a ignition overhaul! could a air lock be causing it to cut out or is it something else like a vacuum leak?
  6. £250 does seem a steep price tbh if it was carbon then fair enough! on the other hand that's the first one I've seen and looks surprisingly good. Glws
  7. No bud it sounds about right, It's not suppose to idle at 0 should be below 0 it's vacuum pressure that keeps it below 0 and boost takes it a both 0!
  8. Hks ssqv or greddy type rs! I think these sound the best!
  9. I'm currently using the vacuum pipe coming off the intake manifold for my external wastegate as my k24 doesn't have a vacuum nipple! I just wanted to know if it's worth me tapping a hole and thread in the turbo? Would it be any different (benefits)? Does the vacuum hole have to be through the turbo or can I tap the intercooler pipe leading to the turbo? Advice please :-)
  10. Today I got round to fitting my speedo cable I got from Ben, what a mission it was to fit, I cut my hands to bits trying to squeeze my hands in behind the clocks but I'm glad it's another job done! I'll be a full fledged mechanic at this rate :-D gotta love Car's
  11. It's not to bad I just give it a bit more rev's and it's fine! I've got the 3.8kg td flywheel it doesn't bog down half as much as the standard flywheel it's a nice build up till boost kicks in.
  12. Looks mint bud, my favourite gt by a long shot :-)
  13. Bought a speedo cable from Ben was sent to me very fast! I hope to do business with him again top lad. Mikey
  14. New clutch and flywheel all fitted and feeling lovely! I'm very surprised how light the paddle clutch is, it feels really nice and to be honest not a great deal different from my organic clutch as far as driveability goes. Here's a picture of my old clutch see who can spot the problem lol
  15. Merry Christmas to me :-D booked in tomorrow can't wait!
  16. so the weight of the standard flywheel keeps the crank spinning because of the extra kg and the engine does the opposite with the lighter flywheel by creating more resistance?
  17. Mike at tuning development has bc coilovers on offer £660 I'm running bc's and I wouldn't go any other way, they are mint!
  18. I'll let you know when mines fitted tomorrow :-D I wouldn't have thought that it would drop down the Rev's faster as it's lighter, I would of thought it would spin slightly faster and more freely when the clutch is disengaged due to not having as much weight resistance!
  19. To be fair you could say that about any car, it's just a Ferrari ect!
  20. If you don't mind me asking how much did you sell it for? I agree with Ben this was the car that maid me want a glanza! So jdm :-)
  21. Quick update! My clutch release bearing decided to let go yesterday on my way home from work :-( so the cars back on the drive till Wednesday when it's booked in at my local garage to fit a new one, I'm going to be getting a 6 puk paddle clutch as I've read nothing but good things about them I'm hoping to get a lightweight flywheel as well, if all goes to plan I'm waiting for more news on that so fingers crossed.
