Me personally if there's a second hand one only been rebuilt not long again and proof of that, go with that to save pennies or get in contact with Liam D midlands turbo he has done loads on here, also mine too, hybrid/TD04 is an option if you got the money of course, don't think your be doing it yourself as hadn't the turbo got to be balanced etc inside

I have prosport in mine, ok there not obliviously the best gauges out there, but they are cheaper and I feel they are spot on aswell 👍🏻

First thing I would do is Check for boost leaks in all hoses, then clean out the icv (idle control valve) and throttle body 👍🏻

I presume your putting the sealant at the 4 corners of the cam cover? Just interested as changing mine in 2 weeks thanks

Yes mate of course could be many things as you know just had this problem once, not as much oil use though took the two intercooler pipes off either side of the front mount intercooler and had shit loads of oil in the bottom of each of them,

Have you Check the intercooler pipes for oil at all mate that would be a good start 👍🏻

Once sorted mate always get a spare second key cut aswell 👍🏻

Well I had to change my passenger side on my GT (ep82) even though it's straight forward, it was a pain in the ass to get in and get the star shaped screws out, and even a bigger pain to line it all back up and get it in, but a little patients your be fine, but your need the smallest star shaped tool there is as its a tight space 👍🏻

A few years ago Colin mate I couldn't get the hang on it, I tryed a flat head screwdriver, but it just kept ripping through the seal is there a way of doing it?

Quote me someone if I'm wrong here jam fcd are totally different to ones like hks fcd, of course they get rid of fuel cut, but with a hks fcd you have to adjust the fuelling so much with what setting you have it on (I found out that way myself) but a jam fcd you don't?

Colin's right on this have played around with fueling before, I'm running 0.7 bar at the moment fpr is set to 2.2/2.3 bar, that's on idle (engine up to temp) getting 11.2/3 in 4th gear at WOT, wouldn't even bother trying to adjust it though without a wideband installed.
