Well MOT'ed today and no surprise failed. Knew and can fix most things just 2 things Im stuck on. NSF wheel bearing has excessive play and OSR wheel bearing has excessive play I was asking at the garage and they said something about i might be able to tighten them up if i have a certain type? Basically i need the A - Z on wheel bearing dont know what they look like, how to check for excessive play, how to alter, nothing? Also failed no surpries on emissions but had decat, they did ask though if id had the engine stripped and rebuilt as it was brning super clean, no hydrocarbons or some

My MOT expries 12th August and is booked in for a test on the 5th August, my car is no doubt going to fail but we will see. If it does fail on the 5th does that mean my car now doesnt have a valid MOT and invalidate my old MOT that expires on the 12th meaning if i drive its illegal as i dont have an MOT. or Will my current MOT valid till the 12th keep me MOT'ed even though ive failed one on the 5th? Does that make sence? Thanks David

Uk starlet cat is under the car i.e not off the turbo, totally different, i supose you could weld one into your current exhaust if you wanted to though.

Exact same thoughts went through my mind, did seem like the end of top gear to me...

Answered your own question right there.

It said on radio you can call this number and they send you some of that tamiflu stuff out if you have the right symptoms. Cant remeber the number but was on radio one so check their website.

I tried GT seats when I had the ep91 n/a and nope they dont fit straight in, firstly the pins dont match so they need chopping off. Secondly the front leg nearest the gearbox has too much metal around the hole, the holes all line up with some persuasion but the leg is just too fat. With some metal trimmed off this leg im sure they would fit fine. I ended up breaking my set just getting pissed off with em. They were lush when half fitted and sit much lower to the floor which is a good thing in my opinion.

DavidAshton replied to DavidAshton's topic in Braking
Break fluid all topped up, no change in pedal feel or break performance just flicking the light on under harsh breaking. -
Any ideas on the above dont even know where to beginn, my disks have been warped for sometime noe could this be causing it somehow. When i say heavy breaking im talking slamming on at 70+. Only flicks the light on as im breaking heavy soon as i let off a bit, disapears. Any help much apriciated. Thanks David

I love my Blitz K1, the dude i bought it off made 190bhp at 1.1 bar with a filter at the end of the efi pipe and with a cat in, someone on tgtt is running 212bhp again with filter on efi pipe, is this not more power than a hybrid would run on similar set ups? I think if you could get a front mounted filter to work with it it would be pretty damn good. Full boost by 2800 rpm too.
-
Cant see how the front mount would cause this, chances are you have knocked something fitting it i would think, do the usual check plugs and leads etc. Do you have an acurate boost gauge, sure its not fuel cut? You done a diagnostics check?

Blitz K1 :surrender:

Took my old turbobine off the other month and was amazed how cracked the whole thing was, still boosted fine although the seals were shot on it. Two decent cracks at the top and one huge at the bottom, cracked pretty much all the way upto where it meets the mani. Anyone got worse?

Removing Black Plastic Down Side Of Sr
DavidAshton replied to chanelle1234's topic in Exterior Design
I found the best way was to heat it up (probably not needed in this weather) peel a small section back then use a credit card to cut through the sticky stuff. If you cut the sticky stuff as close as you can to the paint it leaves a lot less mess and is less hassle to remove the left over gunk. -
Id double check with the seller exactly what you are going to recieve, they may sell other autobahn stuff or something else?
-
Buy it, cant go wrong at that price

ah right, im sure someone on here has a HDi with a varis bumper and it fits perfectly, like fills the hole perfectly, if that the case go HDi, id get the copy save some pennies too. Found you a pic too
-
to be honest I wouldnt bother with HDi or a copy of there's, not unless your prepared to hack you bumper within an inch of its life. TM developments japspeed one seems a winner to me.
