Yeah same issue i think, my acceclerator pedal had loads of play in it, its easier to sort it from the accelerator rather than the mainfold http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....ic=8883&hl= This is the post i made when i had the problem, should help you out. -
Thanks for all the advice, I bought it anyway at the asking price, got a radio thrown in and a few extra bits doing bodywork wise, picking it up 2 weeks on sunday.........cant wait ;)

I never bothered with the bump stops on mine, ive got PI springs and ive had no probs without them.

Its a 96 spec in silver with trd coilovers (think its the N1 version they have adjustable top mounts), some nice jap alloys, hks hi silent cat back, nardi steering wheel, greddy turbo timer, tints on the back 3 windows, 70000 miles, standard engine wise asking for £3795......? What you think...........?

Went to look at a Glanza saturday, was pretty much perfect set up wise how i want one, body work has a few bits that need doing but that would be done before i buy it. Now in regards to the price he would not budge off the asking price (Was an Import Garage not a private owner). Ive never bought a car before and was always advised people never sell cars for the asking price etc. etc. So i was wondering is it normal when buying Glanza/import from an specialist import place for them to just wait till they get the price they want? He only had 15 or so cars, and i was thinking its not like a normal dealership where they have sales targets and loads of the same cars to shift so he could wait for the price he wants. Going down with a deposit saturday, so should i try and get some money off or pay what he is asking and try and get as much as possible thrown in? Any help would be great...

Mine were rock sold to start with, then they went a lot softer or ive got used to them now. Either way there mint and ive had them on standard springs for a good while now. -
Yeah its has turned out pretty much as a SR replica although I never intended it to, the parts came available and it just ended up that way. Will be sad to see it go as its a mint little car and ive loved every second of owning it. Hopefully it wont feel too bad replacing it with a Glanza.

Going to look at my first V saturday, read pretty much all the things to watch out for that are posted on the site. Now i was just wondering what lights should light up on the dash on the second click of the ignition as it seems the easy way to hide problems is to just pull the bulbs out of the back of the cluster. Ive got an n/a so i know the layout off the dash. Any help would be great. Cheers David

Not too sure why it say ep90 on the listing. I do remember when i got mine though it said ep90 on the box so maybe they just copied it off that. There defo the right ones mine has that 85-137 printed on all the springs and the are fitted on my ep91 n/a with no problems. -

Yeah these fit, got them on mine, can remeber the code on them being what it says on there. Well priced those too. Just had a look at the seller too and that company is 2 secs from where i live get my tyres from there. You will have no problems with them. -
Yeah thanks again Idrees for spaying them, proper pleased with how they turned out even if they are a nightmare to keep clean. @EP91STARLET the decat pipe isnt starlet specific or anything, i got it done at exhausts uk in sheffield, they just cut the cat out and weld some pipe in its place, any exhaust place will do it and its not much, defo worth doing, pulls so much more after having it done.

Every post I make I say it will be the last update because im getting a V but yet again things didnt go to plan haha......... Inspired by JAG, created by Idrees........ Seen as i was going to keep the speedlines for the glanza I though id get them freshened up and enjoy the last few weeks with the n/a. They look so much better in person and i love them, anyway more pics....... Then I though id try some moving pics out of the window, think they look quite cool. I promise this is the final update for this car, going to look at my first V this saturday. Cheers David

Recently had similar problems, whole back end of my car was vibrating/knocking. Finally after days of messing about in the boot realised it was coming more from under the car not the inside, even though it could only be heard inside the car. Got the back end up and found the pipe from the back box to the rest of the system had slipped down slightly so it was resting on the bar that comes from the rear axel upto the chassis. Took the clamp off the back box pushed the back box fully into the rest of the system, lifted all the exhaust up and re clamped it. Problem solved! If its not that i have no idea....?

Anyone know where you can get those JDM style car mats from. Like the red and black chequered style ones? I think RHD japan sell them but for silly money. Anyone know anywhere else?

How would I know if the front section of the exhaust vibrating over the anti roll bar/front lower arm....? Could this cause a noise to be heard in the car rather than out side? Reason i say this is the noise started a few hours after a drove over a rock in the centre of the road that was quite big and made a load of noise as it hit the bottom of the car? I didnt think this had anything to do with it as the time it started id just put a load of wheels in the boot so had seats down etc..

My car seems to do nothing but develop problems lately, when driving i get the most immense vibration from the back end of the car, sounds like the whole boot is going to fall off. After i pull up you can hear it on idle for a few mins then it disappears. Ive checked all the rear boot, parcel shelf, spare wheel, jack, exhaust brackets everything i can think off still not cured. The noise is defo coming from the inside not anything on the outside and im pretty sure the noise is coming from inside the drivers side rear quarter. Just wondering is there is anything inside the rear quarter that could come loose and cause this before is have to strip the whole inside of the car.....?

Something to do with power steering? Its powered off the engine right? Actually my revs go up if im still and turn the wheel... so i have no idea.

Yeah first thing i thought was shit ive warped the disks but there is no vibrations or any difference in brake pedal or stearing. Dont have the tools to get all the front jacked up so i think ill go let the garage have a look in a bit. Didnt realise how shit my brakes were till yesterday, defo gonna be first think i upgrade when i get my glanza now. Thanks for all the advice so far.

Just had a look at the brake covers and both were touching the disks so moved them back. Squeak went when i rolled in a straight line soon as i turned the wheels and used the brakes it was back again so now i dont no what it can be.......?

Went out for a rather spirited drive earlier after 2 mins of heavy breaking i was getting immense brake fade. Parked up to have a look at the brakes and the were mega hot, so hot they were smoking, burned my hand just touching the lug nuts. Anyway let the cool all seemed ok. Bit later on i start to get this mental squealing noise at low speeds but NOT when touching the brakes if i touch the brakes it stops. As i have no idea how brakes work is this just the pads worn and need replacing or is this something else? Its a ep91 n/a. Cheers
