  1. It was something toby said in this thread that made me think KYB were same as standard http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....ic=6614&hl= @SCOOBY-MODDERS get me some pics but i still dont think id like the drop, Would you consider selling just the shocks seperate?
  2. Thats a nice offer but I dont wanna go that low, not to my taste. I was under the impression KYB shocks were same as standard therefore pointless with lower springs. Think im just going to lower it on standard shocks and then hope they last a few months while i save for Koni's. Is there no other cheaper alternative to koni's? Buy the time ive paid for all that i could have sorted some colivers. I just cant seem to find any cheaper alternatives
  3. In the next month or so im going to be looking at getting the suspension sorted on the starlet. With so many options its hard to decide what to do for the best and it certainly isnt cheap. Now ive found this shock and spring package on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Starlet-Lower...7QQcmdZViewItem To me this looks like typical fleabay cheap crap. Has anyone herd of this company or ever used any products etc. or should I just stay well clear like I first thought?
  4. Here are a few of my pics, didnt take that many. I thought it was a mint meet, it was the first one ive been to and I proper enjoyed it. Was nice to see everyones cars and cheers for the lights Idrees.
  5. Ive got my SR speedlines at 32 all round. Mine tells me tyre pressures in the glove box, there is a sticker with them all on, you checked there?
  6. Ive got 4 toyota 13" hub things off a sportif. Not in the best of nick but there ok.
  7. Will get some in the morning for you, will be dark by the time i finish work so ill not be able to sort it today.
  8. Just been and had a look and the numbers were on as i though. Hightlight Protectors are as follows: 00051-30023 RH 12/98 00051-30023 LH 12/98 I presume that these are the part numbers. Not sure about the price, mine were £20 buy it now on ebay, so would think toyota would charge £30 odd quid.
  9. Ill be able to get you the part number when I have 5 mins to go and check because I think its written on the top of them.
  10. Thanks so much Rich, did exactly what you sugested and it worked a treat, so glad i got that sorted would have pissed me off forever. Just been out for a blast and fuck me! Ill be suprised if I make 20. Its such a vast improvement, pulls so well in every gear now. The noise it makes sounds mint too. Cant image how fast a Glanza must feel now. This is defo a must do mod for anyone with an n/a. Anyway thanks again Rich
  11. My 3ccd camera is actually a Canon, XM2 to be specific. No its not HDD its mini dv. Not had any problems with drop outs when filming skateboarding and that give the camera a bit a a hammering with all the vibrations and shit. Only time ive had drop outs is when its been hit. I think HDD tends to be more of a friendly user format and less for the higher end stuff.
  12. Those headlight protectors look way better than on that pic. You cant see that white rim around the edge, can hardly tell there on with my car. Ill try and get some pics up.
  13. Just been and had a look at the car and can see exactly what you mean rich so ill be doing that tonight until anyone knows how to tighten it properly.
  14. Cheers rich will have a go at sorting it later!
  15. I didnt fit it myself i left it to the garage. It seem like the actually throtle body is closer to the mani with the new one (the actual width of the mani compared to the old one) meaning it has a bit slack. Anyone know how to tighten the throttle cable seems thats all that needs doing.
  16. Where abouts do i need to put this tubing? Will it stop my floppy pedal?
  17. Just had mine fitted, not had chance to really give it some beans but it pulls so much better in 3rd and 4th ive noticed already. Just a quick question, the throttle pedal now has about 1cm of travel before it actually does anything, its just floppy if you get what i mean. Is this just something that always happens due to size differences or i am able to sort it out? I presume its the throttle cable thats not tight anymore. Can I tighten it by any chance and will this sort things or shall i just get used to it? Thanks
  18. Get the OEM headlight protectors, i managed to find some new ones cheap on ebay. They sort of make the headlights look a little better with the black lines and starlet logo. They sit pretty flush too so dont look like there on.
  19. Im well into video production, been filming skateboarding on a high level the last few years so got myself a decent 3ccd camera and various other bits. Ive been thinking about filming something with the car. Was wondering about mounting the camera. What i was thinking of was mounting it on a standard tripod on the back seat like two legs in the rear foot well and on leg on the rear seat. If i get it secured down i was thinking the back seats would absorb most of the bumps and with steady shot on the camera it might not look too bad. Think i may give it a try soon. Is there much of a car filmi
  20. 11 is ok with me although ill have to get up early now.
  21. Ill be definatly coming, if i put the postcode in the sat nav will i find it? 1) Liam_D 2) Keirz 3) MikeGlanzaV 4) DavidAshton
  22. Had the car in yesterday for it MOT and service. Both fine just an advisory for one of the tyres close to legal limit. But they told me that the car is due a cambelt change, based on its age (98 R reg) not its mileage (43000). They have quoted me £185.65 for it all doing. So what I was wondering is this about right for the age of the car to need it changing and is £185 pound about right for the job doing? Thanks David
  23. Do it man that looks well sweet. Wont take you too long to pay off a loan and you will know its worth it when you get to drive that every day. OEM door sills look mint too, only ever seen them in one other car. Whats that hanging under the parcel shelf? Speakers or something?
  24. I was thinking the other day how many times do you actually look at the reverse lights on a car when its reversing. I usually just see a car going backwards and think yeah thats reversing. Might sound a bit daft. I guess ill find out next week when i dont have one.
  25. It depends which sort of glanza lights u want. If you want the normal flat one then you one need one side. But if you want the bubble style ones you will need both. All the part numbers are in the relevent section if you wanted to buy direct from toyota.
