Long story how but i ended up over tightening one of the bolts that holds the strut bar on, on my n/a. I over tightened it without the strut bar on so at least thats not stuck on. Now ive been going mad tryin to get the fucker off. The bolt will spin in both direction it just wont move up or down. Have tried sawing it off, hammering it off, drilling it off but it still refuses to move. Its slowly driving me mad so was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions please?
-
No problems thanks for looking anyway. If there is instructions with them ill scan them and get them up for people.

Nice one mate PM on its way. Welcome to the club too i guess ull be a rather useful resource with your job and that. How easy is it for toyota to get parts such as these?
-
Any chance you would be able to email the pdf to me or even just have a look and let me know whats involved? Pm or something if you can.
-
The part number is as follows: PZ417-P0510-00 Now the plug i am on about i think will be on ever n/a incase people wanted front fogs. Its straight infront of the radiator. If you look you will see a black cable that has a plug on the end. Hope its for the fogs. If anyone knows please let me know. Im sure it must go back into the car and then i can just put a switch on the end. Im kinda hoping the fogs come with a switch aswell.
-
Well I bought the fogs but wont get them till the begining of march as there a bday present. Anyway ive just had a look under the bonnet and noticed there is a plug thats not connected to anything, its right infront of the radiator. Now im thinking that this must be for the front fogs cant think of anything else it could be. Anyone know what it is for sure? Im hoping its going to be a case of pluging the fogs into this plug then tracing it back to find where the switch must go? If anyone know where the switch is in the loom please let me know. Im hoping they will come with instructions with

Cheers mate, clears everything up perfectly. Think i might pick them up then.
-
Thats a mint idea with the button. If yours are wired into the sidelights does it mean you fogs come on everytime you turn the sidelights on or can you still control them seperate even though they are wired that way? Sorry for all the questions.
-
How are yours wired and controlled in the car Naglebadger? Did you do it yourself? If not how much it cost you?
-
Anyone seen these before or had any experience with them or even got a proper picture of them on a car? Never even knew they were available but my local toyota dealer has got some on there wanting £116 for them (fair price?). Do you think id be able to fit them myself if i got them? Found a crap pic of what they look like so you know what i mean.

@Joz yeah i was thinking earlier the reason it wont attatch is because its too short so it cant be drilled to fit. Im going to stick it back on anyway see if it help, then ill know i dont have any other problems. Got the part number for the Corolla bracket as promised. Also has the part number for the manifold if anyone wanted a new shiney one. No idea on the prices yet, will hopefully find out tomorrow. -

Well im going to try a few things over the weekend see if i can get rid of this stupid noise. Will try the old bracket like you suggested Joz @kevink glad im not the only one who has a vibration, will defo get a new one if the old bracket seems to stop it. Was proper noisy this morning think it must be worse in the cold as all the car was froze up this morning. -

Vibration after fitting the Corolla Manifold
DavidAshton replied to DavidAshton's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
Pretty sure it something to do with the manifold as it only happened after fitting it, then worse after removing the bracket. Just to be clear its more of a vibrating noise, the car doesnt actually vibrate. -
I got the Corola Manifold fitted a few weeks back now and I noticed the car would vibrate a certain times. First I thought it was the bracket that went from the engine block to the manifold, it doesnt quite fit onto the new manifold so I thought it must be that vibrating against the manifold. After checking a few pics of peoples manifold on here I noticed they had removed the bracket so I took it off. Now the vibration is all the time. Its not a constant vibration ill try and explain when it occurs. Say im driving in 2nd gear when i push the clutch down the vibration occurs soon as i let the

Juts to say I will defo be there plus my mate in his black SR should be coming down too.
-
Cheers for that tommy. You put it just as i was thinking. Take it you have 40mm p.is on standard shocks? Thinks thats what im going to do as the cars only done 44000 miles.
-
Id have one if i could get it same colour as my car.
-
So all in all KYB shocks are better than standard shocks and will be able to hack it with lower springs? Anyone else running KYB?
-
That dont look low at all, still i might kill off the shocks ive got now and buy your shocks so when mine do pop ive got a backup. Most other starlets with a 40mm drop look lower than that though, strange.
