  1. Yeah its massively overkill. I have got a blue tooth module for the pi. Again not shown here. But I could easily pair my phone to the pi. Not sure what I could do. Maybe read text messages and that's about it. Yeah I think it's more that I could. Not sure i'd trust the sat nav on the pi lol. But it's nice to have something that will play movies/songs and games lol.
  2. If you guys are interested it's not my idea. I thought hey wouldn't be cool to install a pi in my car. And found someone who has done all the work! Checkout Engineering Blogspot diy. There is a tutorial all there for anyone who wants to do it. When I started it was really hard. But now he's made it just and install. It's really easy now!
  3. So for those of you who are interested. Here is the Car PC Project. I'm using a Raspberry Pi Model B+, a credit card sized computer that is used for programming on. It's a fully fledged Linux based operating system called Raspbian. It does everything you would expect a normal computer to do, except this only costs £35. It also allows you to tap into the boards pins so that you peripherals such as rotary encoders, FM chip models and the likes. This nifty little computer may only run a 500 Mhz clock speed but it can still run full HD videos and play games like quake.
  4. I never understood TOM's stuff. Always looks shite to me. Like real over the top. I really want the Cusco rear strut. But it's so unimportant at the moment that there is no point. Shaun since buying your wheels, I still haven't even the driven the car.
  5. I believe you modify your existing rails
  6. They handle Okay, but no where near as close as an EP3 type R. But I mean given that it's old hat technology then yeah it's pretty sweet.
  7. Very nice project mate there. Am loving the effort you went to to get it all done proper! 2 bar Really? Lol stock internals as well. How long were you running it like that for? Also can I ask what degreasant you used for the head??
  8. Welcome, Wicked cars. Be sure to post some photos up
  9. It'll be some of the rubber bushes gone I'd expect I know my brothers knocks when he goes full lock lmao. Didn't get picked up on MOT. So mustn't be critical. I can't remember which bushes he said were gone but he did check it out. I know he said his gearbox mount has had it. But I don't think it's that. Some bush near the suspension. Can get polybush replacements from ID workz.
  10. Got any gold chrome rims to go with these
  11. Hang on so you're supercharging your EP? That is way cool! But then going for a turbo? I take it it's forged. That's nuts. Would love to see it when all is said and done
  12. Aww I raced my nan off the lights the other day. It was literally neck on neck...
  13. I was thinking more what car/Year and what not. As opposed to ratios. Six speed is very nice. My brothers Type R was six speed and it was always satisfying to bang it in sixth. Although they were exceptionally close ratios. That's an awesome conversion and sounds like a sweet replacement. I'm impressed
  14. Can't recommend that site enough! Very good competitive prices
  15. Yeah I don't really get where you guys are coming from? Yeah it's more lag but that's only in 1st, and 1st has bare torques. If you know how to drive then lag is just a figment of the immagination. Once you're in the powerband there won't be any lag. Bottom end can be recompensated for and at the end of it you will end up with a machine that will have more peak power. The CT9 is a great little turbo. But I find that it spools to quickly, and to drive off boost is merely impractical. So economy driving is non-existent. This is based on the the full 90 mins I've driven my GT LMAO! and th
  16. Charlotte MINT cars are overated. I know what it's like to have a MINT vehicle and NEVER again! Constantly worried about every slightest thing. My current ride is high spec, but tatty. It means I can actually go out and enjoy it and not worry about damaging small pieces. Personally I love MINT pristine cars, but I know I'd be reluctant to drive it if it was mint. I think that so long as it looks respectable then I'm satisfied to say its mine, given its flaws. PS goog luck Also you got details of that six speed conversion. That sounds well interesting? You reckon it will be higher sp
  17. Shoddy paintwork?Looks really good in those photos. Bay looks sweet too! Nice build I'd say

    tf035 wanted

Surely the tf035 is a good middle ground between ct9 and td04? Yeah just a bit. And You would want to have that rebuilt...I'd never trust a used turbo.

  22. Calum122

    tf035 wanted

So what are the benefits. From what I read, smaller turbo than the TD04? Faster spool but less peak power?
