Will do. What will I be looking for for a good engine on the compression check? Does anyone have any values?
-
Never! Doesn't look TOO bad from the photos. I'm sure you could get a nice turn around on that. Just rather the car than you though I suppose
-
Alright dude. PM me

I'll grab some Arp bolts. What are they? I've seen them for sale I just don't understand what they are. Will get the head skimmed. And why Athena Gasket? I don't want to compromise the non-interfacing head? Nice one pal. Very helpful and it's appreciated.

Yeah I've got a new water pump and all the belts. I'm also thinking of performance wise. I.e. would it be worth my time having the head ported and gas flowed or should I leave that until a few years time when I come to forge the engine...if it lasts that long lol
-
Yeah, well that's that. Whilst the heads off, is there anything worth doing as well? I'll get a compression tester and if they're accessible a sniffer. Anyone got any links?

That's positive Ben mate. If more people suggest this then I'll crack on with the job. The Cam belt wants doing as well as I can't see any history with it. I'm not a mechanic but I've rebuilt two engines before (2 stroke SIMPLE!) and a motorbike from the frame up with custom parts. So I don't shy away from projects (and that is why I bought this car) but I may have a job oppourtunity which will require me to have a working motor. Could use the bike but meh! Does anyone have a link to the 4efe Haynes manually. I hear they share similar features if not parts Naturally I'll want to inspec

If the case is it's cracked or you're strongly hinting that way, then I'll get that head off asap. But otherwise I want to try and not remove the head and ideally get this car working. To say it's my daily is a lie. It's my only car. I ride a motorbike to and from work. But my bike is only capable of doing 20 mile journeys. And Ideally I would want to venture out a little more should I need to. The bike naturally would do thousands of miles. But in one sitting I wouldn't want to do more than an hour riding. Hurts my back side. Keep ideas coming though. I'm thinking of buying another housi

What did you do with the crack? New cylinder? I'd be inclined to just write it off if that's the case. I want to go forged, naturally, so whilst i'm at that point it would make sense to continue and sort it all out. Not in that position at the moment to do that. Thing is, the car didn't leak out the thermostat housing before I installed the thermostat. Surely if there was a crack in there it woud have always been a problem

Alright mate, interested in the socks, BUT I mean They sell them themselves for £10.99 for the pair. So before I go to them directly I'll offer you the same. £10.99 posted and I'll have them, else I might as well just go directly to them. -
Alright mate, Still for sale? I take it this will fit GT Turbo ? I'm interested PM me. Thanks

Although as I typed this I can see where I'm going to go. I will fix this properly. Main thing, does anyone have the torque settings for this part/

Okay this is ROYALLY FUCKING ME OFF NOW. This issue has been going on for MONTHS and for the life of me I CANNOT GET THE BASTARD THERMOSTAT TO SEAL PROPERLY! And this is making my bloody boil beyond belief. Basically I've got this on going issue. Coolant is boiling over and filling up the expansion bottle and then leaking onto the floor. This is an issue that came with the car and I can already see that the fckers who had the car previously tried to fix this issue but couldn't so sold it to me with no warning. I can see this now due to the types of people they were that I bought it f

Well I had a look at removing the wiring and yeah...sod that at this moment in time. If you don't have the loom then I probably wouldn't bother cause it would literally strip the car out to follow it all. I got some more pictures to follow -
Amazing. I have to go someday!

Absolutely love the ek9, would have one in a heartbeat. My bro's just left the Vtec scene after owning a k20 for the past 5 years to go to a EP82....and honestly he doesn't regret a thing. Already spent 1K on tuning parts and the amount of comments he's had about the car is unreal. He loves boosting it without ramping the tits off it. The Vtec is brilliant but you do have to scream its nuts off to really go anywhere. That said I love them and would have a ek9 any day. It's just that boosting is a little more addictive. Oh and the UK spec EK's CAN be considered better. Yes it has less PEAK

Okay well you're more than welcome to make me an offer and the first chance I get I can strip out the loom for the amp. So long as It's not buried in a mess of wiring in the car. If it's simple enough I can strip it out if there is an incentive to. -

No. If I could I probably would. But I don't want to rip it all out looking for it. I think someone said that the loom is usually there and you just need the amp. For extra £££ I suppose It would be worth my time stripping it all out looking for it. -
Item For Sale: Fujitsu OEM Under Seat Amp Optional Extra Item Condition & Description: Up for sale here is the OEM Fujitsu Amplifier that came as an optional extra in my GT Turbo EP82. I don't know whether it works or not but I can't see anything obvious. Only dusty. This has come out of my car that I bought a few months ago. I haven't driven my car yet so I don't know what works. Also for sale here are the tweeters that can be found in the dash grill. Plugs are intact don't know if they work. Don't see any reason why they shouldn't. Was surpirsed to see tweeters and an amp in t
