  1. Very sweet I like the standard ones Metal pressed plates look lush as well.
  2. Very nice. That's crazy cracks on there.
  3. Yeah read that one. I imagine it is one of those things that will be clearer when you're doing it yourself. Nobody bother with the Corolla Haynes then lmao.
  4. I've been raping the search bar Lmao! Don't you need something to lock the crankshaft? I've never done a cam belt. I've rebuilt lots of two stroke engines, still ramping about my first ever two smoke build, but never touched 4 strokes. I'm going to do the cam belt with my brother. He's done them before. I would take it to a garage but I can't see how they would want to do a better job than me. Just the way I am with things. I've been to some garages where they are really passionate about bikes so am happy to use them. But this being my first car I am yet to build up a relationship with any
  5. Hello, I don't want to start a new thread cause there is lots of information. I just want to know what quality parts people have been using. I'm thinking about buying the parts from id-workz. Will this be okay for belts and the pump or will I need to go Genuine? I've worked on some vehicles where for some parts you have to go genuine. Also what specialist tools will I need. And does anyone have a link to the correct corolla engine Haynes. Will the 97-01 corolla Haynes be okay. Has the 1.3 engine on the front. I take it that is the 4efe non turbo engine. Any help would really be appreciat
  6. Alright mate, appreciated. The systems had a good flush, but I'll get onto the thermostat right away
  7. From what I can tell, the water expands, boils over, whatever and continuously fills up the expansion bottle. The chap before me was like keep filling the radiator up and the expansion bottle and I knew that wasn't right. They've been using water for far too long and that hasn't helped you can here it move from the radiator to the expansion bottle. As I type I'm leaning more towards the idea of the thermostat being faulty, that slowing down the flow of water so it doesn't pass through the cylinder very fast and that's what is causing it to boil over. So my next question, I see idz works do a
  8. Hello, New to posting here but have been reading up threads where I Can. Have found people with similar problems but it's either turned out to be their mistake or an unrelated fault. So I picked up a 1994 mk 3 toyota starlet gt turbo last week. It looks like the last two years have been pretty brutal to the old girl and I intend on spending the right money returning it to its former glory. I don't shy away from projects and don't mind getting my hands dirty, already I've done the basics, oil, filter, coolant and plugs. So to the problem, I picked the car up last week and the chap said it's
  9. I am a massive fan of the vtec that Honda offers, and love my starlet. The problem is is that the ep3 ' s are as common as muck. A ek9 However! Different story altogether. It's not just honda v toyota, it's just the market at the moment. A decent starlet is getting hard to come by. A decent ep3 well my brother is selling his so there we go.
  10. Sweet I'm from the Gloucestershire area Actually I've seen a few GT Turbo's and Glanzas at last weekends cruise.
  11. Interesting build Was there any news for this?
  12. Right I bought the car and it's sitting on my drive. I'm not going to lie, the deal was a bit dodgy to say the least. Was an Asian chap and the dealings were a bit sketchy. However we did test drive the car and he said everything that he knew that was wrong with the car. Battered it through the gears, pulls very strong and not crunches between the gears. I'm surprised how quick it Is! And I am loving it. It handles like it's on rails and it sounds Lovely! These good bits are not without the faults. The bad bits THAT WERE NOT MENTIONED IN THE AD! The battery is dead, not the end if the wor
  13. Very nice. Would love to see some photos
  14. Cheers. I already know that I'm stepping into a world of pain with this Starlet, the guy I'm buying it from seems a bit suspect but again for the price I'm getting it at I can afford to chuck some money at it. One day till I go and pick it up, mans is getting excited haha!
  15. Well as said I've put a deposit down on that Mk3. Ideally I wanted a Glanza but I didn't want to pay 4K for my first car. But cheers. I did see a GT Advance but it was automatic and a bit sh→t lmao. This will be my first car so starting off on a good foot I might get one later on in life. Thanks
  16. With a bit of luck I'll pick this up and join in a bit more. Went to Japfest for the first time this month and saw plenty of UKSO starlets!
  17. Well I've put down a deposit on a Mk3 Toyota Starlet GT Turbo in black. I'm not completely convinced it's going to be in tip top condition. Done a mytextcheck an it all checks out okay so the only thing to do now is to go down and have a look. It's been knocking about eBay for the last month or so, so I don't have high expectations. I don't mind a bit of a project to bring it back to perfect health just kinda need a car to drive at the moment so don't want to do it straight away. It wants some work and the first thing to go has to be those God AWEFUL alloys lmao! Advertised as £18
  18. Saw this at Japfest, very impressive. May I ask why at the end of the day did you only go out for a couple of laps.
  19. Haha, you guys sound like my kinds of people.
  20. Wow that is properly nice build thread mate. Took me a day or so to read it all but what a rollercoaster it takes you on lmao! I personally love the Honda engines. I appreciate you have to rev the tits off them for power but being a huge two stroke fan I'm used to not having power until 6'000 RPM Love it mate. Very very nice. Will this car be going to Japfest this month? Would love to see it in the flesh
  21. What a quality wiki. Really exciting! Thanks
  22. Nice thread. Love that secret box, that's amazing!
