  1. To be fair, the seller could EASILY tax the car before you drive off. It doesn't make selling a car difficult in the slightest. You just tax it before you drive off. Not hard with all this technology about. Okay fair enough if you're up in Scotland or somewhere with no internet but then chances are if you'r somewhere like that...there won't be anyone about to do ya! Nah it's not that much more difficult. You just take the details needed to tax the car before you set off. And just tax it online at your earliest convenience.
  2. Sorted thanks!
  3. Thanks Wicked forum!
  4. Hello! I'm after the cup holder required to do the conversion to do my ep82, if anyone has one for sale I'll be happy to take it off your hands! Many thanks, Calum
  5. Absolute bargain lmao Would be nice for a turbo upgrade.
  6. Sorry, did I want to sell my amp? I was probably going to put it in the loft and put it back in when the car goes for sale.
  7. Okay, maybe I'll try another switch. Does anyone know if an mr2 switch will work. Plenty of mr2 ' s near me I could get a switch from there.
  8. Okay so still scratching my head at this one. I know the motor works, I've tested it. The motor came out of a mr2 and was supposed to be the passenger side, not that I can see it make any difference. And it works on the drivers side. I've been told that the sides are not interchangeable but that doesn't make sense, electricity doesn't care what side a motor is on. Unless the dc current is blocked on the motor in which case surely I can just reverse the polity of the motor and that should work. But unless anyone knows otherwise.... So the motor I know works, but it doesn't move using either switch. I'm assuming the car runs on a can bus and therefore it should operate if the left switch is working or not due to the nature of how can works. Is there a relay on the car anywhere that I. Hound be testing....
  9. Sounds like a nice upgrade. Any pics
  10. Yo bro Ollie was it you I saw the other day? I had a Starlet drive past my house on Saturday. I was working on my GT at the time and saw this lovely looking Glanza drive past?
  11. I had some of these for my Motorbike, very similar to that. Paid £60, so cheap IMO, and the difference in lighting was phenominal. For the money I thought they were very good. But Illega, like most. The mot tester wasn't impressed but he was sound enough to let it slide. Very grateful for that but I've returned back to halogens because I installed a second radiator and had no where to put the ballast (very limited space on my bike). Cheap but chearful, ultimately did what they said on the tin. Very bright.
  12. Alright, which one of you drove past my house last night in a lovely look Black Glanza. I know it must be someone on here since it had the UKSO stickers on the window. I was out working on my EP82 and I heard you coming down the road. So I popped my head out the car to see it was a cheeky little Glanza!
  13. Thank you! That must be the problem then. Right I need a new switch then.
  14. Thanks for the input. I'll give that a good go when I get a chance. If the switch one the left goes, does that mean that I won;t be able to do the window down with the right switch.
  15. Cleaned up the interior light. It now works but when bolted to the roof it dies. The new motor works on the drivers side but not the passenger side. So there is some fault on the passenger side.
  16. I'm a massive fan of GT. Grown up playing it. Forza is good, but it's no match for GT in my opinion. I loved 5, did take few Updates don't get me wrong. I feel you guys when you said it's crap. But they spent so long working the updates it got a lot better. Also it was only until I after 2 years of playing 5 that I used the Logitech Driving Force for the first time and OH MY IT BLEW MY MIND! GT just changed in a big way. Since then I bought the G27 and GT6 was again just a massive improvement. You will not understand WHY GT6 is better in almost everyway to GT5 until you play on a decent setup. Believe me, as a life long fan of GT it was only until a few years ago when I discovered the feedback wheels did I actually fall in love with the GT series all over again. From having banging cars like the starlet to shitty cars like 60's splitscreen. Every car feels different on a decent wheel and the feedback is imersive. When you compare that to the controller you have a whole new appreciation for the game. I appreciate those who play on the controller, cause that was me for so many years, but now I only play if I have the wheel setup (recently it's been far too nice and I packed it up for my Uni exams) but come the winter that game will again see serious mileage. If you want advice on a decent wheel, grab the GT Driving Force. I've had both the Driving Force and the G27 (the only real differnce is the 6 speed box and clutch). For the money they're pretty much the same thing. I prefer the G27 because you get the clutch and a nice cheap mod allows the brakes to get a progressive feel to it. Also with GT, unlike many other games I've played, you have to feather the clutch off the line, line in real life. And can stall it. All of which you can't feel, do on a controller. Little details like resting your foot on the clutch when you shift revs the car out stuff I've done in real life is replicated nicely when you have a decent wheel. And it's these small things that add up when you are on the wheel. Seriously decent developers and deserve credit to them. I appreciate for casual gaming, forza maybe better, the amount of cars, the details when using a wheel and the attention to detail makes me love GT. Plus they have two stroke engines on there
  17. Firefox, with the basics, HTTPS everywhere and User Agent Switcher. If I'm running my Debian machine then it's 'IceWeasal' lmao! Firefox clone
  18. Yeah see this is what I've been hearing. From what I've read it's another version of Halo lmao. I won't be getting a PS4 until the next Gran Turismo, even if that means I can't play MGS lmao! I've got my beast of a gaming rig and that'll do for now. PS3 graphics are still sweet imo, much better than my Sega Genesis sat next to it, which in all fairness gets more use than my PC (in terms of gaming lmao!)
  19. What operating system you running? If you're running a low spec computer then it's bound to struggle. I always had problems running it on Windows 7 but on Debian it ran sweet. No problems anymore on my machine.
  20. See I've heard mix reviews about this and read an article on it. Is it any good then?
  21. Want to share my two pence on this: I'd consider myself knowledgeable on the subject. I'm in IT as a profession. I've built home systems, but a more relevant one would be my Gaming rig, A £1600 liquid cooled gaming rig that has all the goodies you'd ever need for editing video, audio, photos, and of course, playing games. A i7 3.5GHz with 16Gb of RAM, a 280mm radiator, dedicated Audio card and enough storage to last a life time. Yeah I spent enough on this PC. But what you get, Apple would never offer. Enough power to last 10 years, and a 3K machine, if you were to buy off the shelf. I'm not what you'd call the biggest fan of Apple. I like their operating system, although if you're after a Unix based operating system then use sometime like Debian or Ubuntu, but their machines are just overpriced like mad. And people think that because professionals use them then that must be the way to go. No it's a circle. Professionals use them, people ask professionals what they use and do the same. Apple may, may not, have lost their edge, but because the market is using Apples then people cling on to the belief that that's what they should use. I'm not what you'd call a Windows fan either, yes I like Windows 8 because it's pretty, but that's for gaming. I use Debian on a daily basis and for me that's the best OS i've ever used. So clean and nice. If you got a budget of that much then stick with a Windows platform. For your money you will get a lot more. And if you look at my gaming rid, you'll notice almost every part is asus. From the Motherboard, to the Audio card, even that screen on the front of my PC is Asus. Very good brand, a slight premium but not nearly as much as Apple. Also, a finally little piece. If you want serious power and value for money. Build it yourself. You don't have to go overboard. I've got fully mechanical keyboard and gaming mice. You can spend that sort of price on a desktop and have serious power. It's not that hard of a job either. Took me a few months to research what I wanted, bearing in mind I wanted high end parts, and only a day to build. Simple and well worth the time. I bought my PC outright, but it felt like finance. Cause I bought the CPU, Motherboard and ram one month. Graphics card the next. Didn't do it in one hit so it doesn't feel like it cost me that much.
  22. Little offended lmao. I am going to bin that amp for a nice Modern amp. Not chavey. Just I want my Starlet to have a nice audio system. So it'll get replaced with high quality parts, for CRISP, sound. I'm not a big fan of loud noises, but can appreciate a clean sound.
  23. Well I've dismantled it all, replaced the bulbs with a piece of copper. Current flows correctly when the right switch is applied, so all ten bulbs are faulty??? Sorry to sound thick, but led bulbs. A diode only lets current flow one way, so why do I get no current flowing in either direction. I wanted to put on some cool white interior bulbs to replace the blown ones but none of them have worked. After testing the unit I can't find a fault. I've measured 1.5 volts at the lead that supplies the power (engine off), and the back of the switch says 12 volts. So I'm assuming 1.5 is correct since the bulb isn't going to need 12V. Anyway I will of course research this anyway and post my results, unless someone wants to just point me in the right direction. I know it's thick, I know I'm right somewhere, I just want to know whether or not I need to complain to the seller. Surely not all 10 smd LED cool white bulbs are faulty.
