Balancing is normally when accelerating. Shaking when braking is normally a warped disc or if you are running grooved discs it's quite common for you to feel the grooves through the wheel.

Believe slipstreams are up there with the lightest wheels to be honest they are meant to be a very good lightweight track wheel! But yeah as Adam said look at the wiki on here tells you all the weights and stuff
