I could get a set of decals made for you no bother. Have the drawings from before. Could do the tailgate ones for you if you're still eager to go for the genuine door badges. Would save a few quid at least.
Oh yeah, one too many as far as my Mrs is concerned. My son gets very confused as to which one is "Daddy's car" If you buy me a cream egg, the wheels are your. Wonder how your car would look with the TOM's C2 refurbed off the advance?
I was very impressed with the grooved discs I bought from them. They assured me they only machine genuine OE discs. They were slow with my order but threw in an extra set of green stuff front pads to make up for it. I'd recommend phoning them as you will get a much better deal.
some people like the chatter noise (I do) but it's wise to only allow it at low pressure before the dump valve opens. To avoid turbo stall, you will have to adjust the spring tension on the dump valve. Your blitz dump valve should have a threaded rod with a lock nut. Simply unscrew a little and that will sort it. Might need a few atempts to get it spot on.
The centre section is attached to the outer sections at the pivot point so it aint going anywhere. A domed head torx machine screw would look better for the adjustment fixing.
Cheers lads. I'm more than happy with how it turned out. I don't fancy repeating the process and selling complete spoilers. Would have a hefty price tag considering the labour.
I quite like the engineered look but might consider painting the brackets when the spoiler is getting sprayed later. Good shout about the machine screws! Will invest in some
At last it's on!!! Brought a smile to my face when I shut the tailgate and had a look. I put it as high as it goes to see how much it changes the look of the car. I'm happy with the results but wouldn't fancy going through the process again in a hurry. Lets just hope it puts up with the air flow. Pics aren't the greatest. WIll get some more after a wash on the next dry day!
You could open the two up and compare springs. Your new one may have a weaker spring (less coils or smaller wire diameter) You could add a spacer to the adjustment end to assist spring compression if the spring is too weak. I have the same trouble with a Sheepdog BOV and I think the spring rate is too high.
