  1. Hope the welding is good as I wouldn't fancy the spare wheel hurtling towards the windscreen in a collision. There is a reason why vehicle manufacturers put spares in a wheel well or under the vehicle.
  2. I noticed that. At least I know it's possible to modify them.
  3. Since getting the Honda SMX as a daily driver, I'm spending some time on the GT. Engine is almost out for some TLC. Will be changing the water pump, thermostat, timing belt, crank oil seals, engine mounts, exhaust mani and generally tidying up the bay and protecting from corrosion. I picked up a pair of these for added comfort. Need to figure out how to adapt/modify the gt rails in order to fit. They came out of a Proton Satria and have no rips or fag burns. Need a good clean but all in all, a bargain at £80 for the pair.
  4. Is this the same base vehicle as the Toyota BB
  5. was it ditched near dobbies on the back road to bearsden by any chance. Couple of my mates saw a silver glanza ditched there early in the week. Not far from me!
  6. not sure if this is even possible. I've heard of a few people getting the coolant pipes connected the wrong way round below the throttle body. Just a thought?
  7. mint mate. Wish my engine bay was as clean. Glad your happy with the torque damper kit.
  8. Not forgotten about you bud. Just trying to find the time to head out to see this beast.
  9. Depends on the diameter of your dump valve flange. I think the BOV pipe on the FMIC pipe is 34/35mm
  10. I wouldn't fork out for a stiffer spring until you try adjusting the current spring tension by tightening the adjustment screw on the top.
  11. Initial D too lol. Quality JDMness Not sure how long they will stay on the bumper though
  12. Purchased this machine yesterday. Honda SMX RH1 Lowdown 2.0 b20b auto 80,000 miles From the factory: - Full lowdown bodykit Lowered 30mm Factory private tinted windows Electric windows Electric mirrors Air con Wind deflectors Aftermarket 17" alloys which I'm yet to discover the make Cat 1 alarm with remote start The body work is near perfect. Only a few scrapes on the front bumper some of which might buff out. A lot of car for the money! It actually handles OK giving its size but you just get thrown around on the stupid bench seat. Need to start doing some research and find out what so
  13. I'm just back from my summer hols down in England. The GT racked up almost 1000 miles with a few hiccups along the way. Problem 1 - Expansion tank overflowing after 100 miles Cause - Jezza overfilled the coolant before we left Resolution - Keep driving Problem 2 - Clutch started slipping after 250 miles Cause - Jezza overfilled the oil during a service before we left. Thus creating higher oil pressure forcing hot thin oil through the crank seal onto the flywheel. Resolution - Keep driving (Off boost) Problem 3 - Speedo and odometer stooped working Cause - Dunno! Resolution - Gave the km

Same problem here! I must be doing something wrong!
  15. The core itself is 580x210x100mm The inlet and outlet are 2.5" I would estimate the overall length to be 800mm
  16. a yes from me. Have one my gt and very happy with it.
  17. I would recommend this kit. As mentioned - a lot of bumper trimming. I would also make up steel angle brackets as I've heard quite a few reports of the alloy ones supplied breaking.
  18. I think this question is a bit difficult to answer. There are a lot of varying bends and some pipes have multiple bends at different angles. Plus there are quite a few kits out there with different pipe routes. If it's going to be custom piping then you're prob going to have to piece it together on the car and tack weld in situ.
  19. i found a c pillar trim, kick pael trim and rear outer belts. No buckles or lap belt though. Any good to you?
  20. The joys of being self employed. Jammy git. I'll have a rake through my pile of spares and give you a buzz tonight.
  21. I think I have most of the bits you're after. Gimmee a shout if you're free a night this week and I'll bring what I can find and have a look at this beauty at the same time.
  22. I Might head along. There were a few glanzas on show last year. My work mate has a mint Viva GT on show this year.
  23. yeah. Blue decals aint a problem
  24. only red i'm afraid. Wouldn't take much effort to paint them though.
