Who is the best to go through for caliper delivery
jezza replied to natalie_fuller's topic in Off Topic
Try inter parcel website. You need the packaging weight and dimensions and you will get a quote from various couriers. Never had a problem with any I have selected. -
My old spoiler lives on. Nice one Starbuck

Toms bumper ep82 fitting and Toms grill. Questions.....
jezza replied to Starbuck's topic in Exterior Design
The bumper sits on top of the raised parts. Secured at each wheel arch. I secured to the bumper bar with plastic grommets spacers and screws. I decided against any bottom fixings as you are guaranteed to ground at some point so having the bottom unfixed will allow a bit of flex and reduce chances of cracking. Normally the grill is only secured from the top but I fibre glassed a small bracket at the off side so it could be cable tied to the headlight/ bumper bar. -
The damper stiffness is increased by tightening the large blue nut toward the damper body. You can then adjust the rose joints at either/both ends to fit between brackets. Hope that makes sense.

Bottom end failure apparently. He's looking to sell the whole car cheap if anyone is interested I can put you in touch with the current owner.

Terrible news. Only sold it in may. Will find out what the problem is.

Or if you fancy a clear one give me a shout

Reverse scoop only useable with a front mount intercooler. When fitted it acts as a vent to draw hot air from under the bonnet.
-
There is an earth on the engine mount so perhaps check that you replaced it when fitting the engine mount bracket.

What management are you running?

Sold to a guy from Fife so not too far away. Might get to see it up at crail in future. Sticking with the family bus Honda S-MX for the time being until I decide my next move! Still happy to be a trader on here and my entusiasim for Starlets hasn't died whatsoever!

Last pics of the GT before I parted with it last saturday. Don't worry, I'll be sticking around while JD tuning is still up and running!

If the trumpet is 55 then surely you should keep the rest of the relocation kit equal or greater than that so you are not restricting intake. Not sure what if any difference it would make but thought it would make sense.

I rebuilt one using a speedvision rebuild kit. It can be done without balancing but would not be as good. My cousin rebuilds turbo but it would most likely cost more than picking up a descent low mileage one. Think you should try get a refund and find one in better condition.

If it is moving that much I would expect the blades to be fouling the housings? Do the blades have any damage?
-
I believe the general rule is that minimal side to side (axial) play is OK up to a point but in out play is a no go. You get the best sense of movement using both hands on either turbine and move together.

There's a low mileage engine advertised on this ebay auction Item number 330535431989 Maybe worth a call

Yeah the fan sits centred on the radiator fins. Just pass the 4 tie straps.through the fins and tighten. Cut off excess like a cable tie.

I had a better experience with their customer service. They replaced a FMIC hot pipe after it developed a hole from fouling the slam panel on my GT. They also sent me a roll of heat wrap as a method of lagging the pipe to prevent damage again. I've not heard of the same problem happen to anyone else. Contact was solely by email which was bit annoying but they responded relatively quickly

Not removable unfortunately. They are pressed/welded in from underneath. I found out the hard way when I broke one and had to drill out and retap to m10.
