    ive just posted one for sale mate and im only in solihull, waiting for the thread to be approved complete 5e bottom end with fhe rods and pistons £150 (no head)
  2. thanks dude, actually it was the daily until 2 weeks ago when i blew the gearbox up lol, now getting a 6 speed getrag box ready for some big power, so using the mazda/starlet now cheers, The tolarances are now ok, but it still have valtrain noise.. going to put a new head on, but 100+miles now and not and worse so will see and yea genuine watanabes, got another set of splits in 14's too

  7. I'm looking for a 4efte head in a ready to fit state preferably not machined. ive lost my rag with reshimming my current head even tho ive fitted new stems, lapped valves and reshimed its still tapping :|

Item For Sale: 5e bottom end, crank, caps. pistons and rods Item Condition & Description: removed and it had end float, bore is 74.5mm previsouly machined for wiseco's crank has had NO machine work so good for reuse. Price: 150 Pictures: see below Payment & Shipping Details: cash on collection basicallyi bought and built a new 5e so this is my old one. removed and it had side to side play in the crank. appears that only the thrust washers where damaged. the rods and pistons are from another 5efhe engine so please bear this in mind collection form near NEC please....

  17. good first track, lots of run off and wide as fuck lol, can be a little boring as theres only 6 corners on national circut but great for high speed
  18. im booked on 3 session: C - 09:40, I - 11:40 ,O - 13:40 although im in my MX tubby ill have cameras on the car too so get one track with me lol

  20. havnt though that to be honest... pressure is 90psi on warmup then 35 psi at 1400rpm (cant lower my idle lower than that due to stupid inlet manifold) i did place the rocker cover on without the bolts to hold it down and oil pissed out so yea guess all ok haha i used a genuine toyota head gasket (metal 0.5mm from a paseo) so would only fit on one way
  21. thermostat will make no difference on track as itl be open anyway, civic rads are shit i found without an oil cooler it would get hot way to fast only 10mins worth of track use. with an oil cooler i used to get about 20mins before exceding 110deg water temp that was with over 300bhp though. ive scince gone full face radiator infront of the slam planel and all customer bits etc. for track use heat control is a big factor, my mx5 has 273bhp, big rad an thermostatic oil cooler (13row) and i can stay on track for as long as i want (45mins ish is my currect record without pitting lol) b
  22. yes but there is a difference the 5e headgasket blocks off some of the waterways to the head., ive not had a issue, im using a 0.5mm metal gasket on a forged 5e build sorry i cant find my own photos but quick google shows what i mean (ignore the 3ee 5ee labels) mean

OK ive pretty much confirms its valvenoise heres the followup video. took the cams back out today and remesures everything so ive orderd all my shims now as but whilst the cams where out ive put a big blob of petrolum jelly ontop or each valvespring under the bucket then soaked in all and refitted all buckets etc, fired it up and no noise atall pretty much confirms what i though.. ill post up the final results after a reshim for archive purposes however the has come back (not as bad) now the jelly has dissolved in the oil note this video was after a few mins of it running, it
