  1. Awesome stuff. Do you have details on the spring rates for the Mx5 or are they the same ?
  2. Can you do these for other models ? IE the Mx5 ?
  3. Look Maa, I'm on TV !
  4. I know the sand is flying behind them but you think they would run some form of air filter on sand !
  5. Cheap for a reason. Wouldn't have one given to me.
  6. In your original post all you mention is "Is this helping acceleration, or not? Simple as that" so forgive me for thinking your only reason for asking is for performance, simple as that.
  7. Dirty engine bay but my old starlet mani.
  8. Just remember guys, although the stock inlet may be able to cope at 300-350hp but with a better designed inlet you could get a wider torque band or make power earlier and make better power at less boost. It's not always about replacing it because you have to but optimising your setup.
  9. With a turbo you want the least restriction as possible so 3" would be a massive benefit however on a 1.3 N/A I would say even 2" would be on the upper scale. 1.75" would be preferable under 100ft/lb Are you sure the full system is 3-3.5" and not just the exit to the box ? Either way if you really want to waste time trying to gain decent power from an N/A 1.3 then I really wouldn't go any bigger than 1.75"
  10. Hmmm, not a bad idea that. I'll have a nosey.
  11. Looking like it is going to be a pretty one Is the NoPro Cappuccino bottle kit from Rev9 ?
  12. I know of a tuner who makes inlets who made 2 inlets exactly the same. One with and one without. With the map adjusted to suit the VS inlet had a better/smoother torque curve and peak figures were improved noticeably. Without a map the difference was negligible IIRC.
  13. If it dips lower than 11.5 at WOT then it is a bit rich. On run down it should really error out or show really lean is 19/20 Idle should be exactly or as close to 14.7 as humanly possible.
  14. For some reason UKSO won't let me quote your 1st post Davehart but to quote 2 words in there "Cheap" and "Japspeed" There is your problems. 1, cheap. Buy cheap, buy twice. We all know this to be true. 2, Japspeed. Well that one just answers itself !
  15. It is thee best ! 1.6 bar on stock internals, injectors and fuel pump. It loved it.
  16. My old turbo kit GLWS
  17. Ex directory number and registered with TPS and I don't get any at all.
  18. An old women ran in to me on a roundabout in my civic insured with Sky. Called Sky who said they don't deal with it, spoke to the insurance company (as sky are just a broker) who said sky deal with it .... a bit of arguing later and they finally passed it on to a separate company who deal with claims. They wouldn't argue it for me when I said I wanted to take it to court and wouldn't accept a 50:50 settlement and said I would have to pay any court fees then claim them back from the other side. Then when i Eventually accepted the 50:50 resolution (I had repaired the car and sold it on by this time) I confirmed it would affect my no claims as she wasn't claiming from me, I was only claiming damaged from her. So went ahead with it. Got 50% of what I should of got and finished my policy on a borrowed car. At the end of the policy I lost 50% of my no claims due to the 50:50 settlement !! And they wasn't willing to look in to it stating it is policy. Would let me raise a complaint as it is policy too. Unfortunately for me that was my 3rd years of "no" claims and they cant give me 1.5 years (50%) so went down to 1 year. Wouldn't go near Sky again even if they was cheaper due to the after sales service being worse then terrible. Once they have your money they are really not interested in helping at all.
  19. Until someone runs into you, then forget it. Useless pricks.
  20. I think the fact you ran a td04 unmapped will of caused it to run lean and Det. This increases your cylinder pressures by shitloads (something like 10x IIRC) and will of blown it out. When will people learn that the most important part of a setup is the map ! Starting to think it's mot worth telling people any more.
  21. From how you are describing it, it sounds like fuel cut but it could also be knocking its tits off too depending on boost you are running etc. Tuning would be top of the list to be honest pal. If you are tuning yourself get to it and you can always make tweaks if you make any changes. If you are paying someone else to tune it I would say get it all right and get it tuned. Don't take short cuts to save money with tuning, it is the be all and end all of the final setup and if you run it untuned it could to irreparable damage to your engine.
  22. Mine said GL on v5 but when I initially insure it I just said it is a Glanza V and the imported has registered it wrong wso they asked for a photocopy of the logbook and just insured it as a V.
  23. I got an RC helicopter that fires missiles and I'm 23. Getting old is mandatory, growing up is optional. Also back on topic. 40" TV for the bedroom 30 min flying lesson taster solo skydive Various sweets and treat A grow your own boyfriend (From mum, shes a dick) Various ill fitting clothes. Shit loads of socks Some glow in the dark spongebob boxer shorts. Shit loads of smelly gift sets
  24. Glad I'm not the only one !! Although I'm thinking of eBaying the lot just to get rid of them. Space is of the essence now !
  25. So now I have your attention, when you've done with your old car magazines what do you do with them ? I have been reading Banzai and Japanese performance for years, Honda Tuner since it came out and many others on and off such as Fast Ford, PPC, Total Vauxhall etc etc and don't think I have ever thrown a magazine away. This has never been a problem due to living in a massive house with loads of free space but recently moved into a smaller house (nicer area and a big garage etc etc) so space is more important. I counted my pile and count over 250 mags ! That's over £1000 worth of mags ! and now I know the value I can't bring myself to throw them away. So long question shortened..... What do you do with the magazines you have already read ?
