  3. Haha, nice start dude. Spoke to the big hairy one tonight will get the bits shipped monday 24hr for you you know where i am if you need more bits. Rear axle and discs ect is still on the back end too if you wanna ditch the drums.
  4. has the rebild been started? can always sell your fresh box with lsd when its back i guess? check with socks though and see what some others say, aftermarket may not be that bad?

  6. well parts arnt selling great atm tbh, too many breakers, and not alot of lads with cash atm so will prob still have a load when you come up next. already missing boost soooooo much and seeing you lads in you glanzas last night made me want it back asap! (may have found my 85 today hehe)

  8. That is crazy money on insurance tbh! Either way, WEPR all the way! Cant fualt them in any way, im on my second kit from sacha (i change turbo kits like most people change alloys/tyres lol) and have had plenty of other makes, WEPR quality is awesome! Also fit the kit your self its not hard and the money you save on labour will by your ecu ("cough" like the 2 week old dastek im selling for £300 "cough")
  9. i used to run ferodo sport shoes on my mini rear drums, fantastic shoe tbh, i also ran alloy drums, its a cast alloy drum with alloy cooling fins on the housing for cooling benifits, and an iron band inside for the shoes to contact (as they would eat the alloy in mins) im not sure if the alloy drums are available but the ferodo shoes should be and they in them selves are a good upgrade from a stock shoe dude
  10. Also looking for info on this what about rear diffs too? I know the engineers who can prob fab/mill/construct it all just not enough about how to build it!
  11. whats the no power steering like gaz? is it much heavier with out it? would realy like to ditch it but dont want to regret doing it will be interesting to watch it over the next few moths its the king of the 4paws ;)
  12. if you start again gaz and fancey a crazy full weld-in custom cage ect, ill have your current cage fo my 85 ;) lol think you should dump in an 4age, not enough of them around in starbo's tbh.

  14. issues where three boost leaks sparky all of wich the mapper should have seen tbh, going AEM ecu now on the ep85 when shes ready and getting jdmodifed to map her this will be one of the last posts im afraid. please see the breaking section to by a peice of the awesome v! ;)
  15. Haha, engine is staying in one piece ;) all part of the 300hp 4paw im seriously excited bout it now. Im stripping the v to bare shell in the next two three days, then hard sales push then pick out me ep85!!!
  16. Haha, may have to if your gonna keep up on a track with me ed ;) i was gonna go 95 and keep the glanza shape but its not worth it as id end up not breaking my v haha and just buying a 95 so is no point. Think you should just stick with your v ed then you buy some of my parts!!

  18. Well its actual an 82 engine that i swapped over into the v when it was first built up, since then its had a fair bit of work done over the years so im very keen to keep it tbh. So ill just swap the sensors back over to an 82 set up and buy my mates 82 loom if thats the best way. Do i deffo need the interior loom to or can you just use a front loom? Im a sparky so wires and stuff dont realy bother me. But i want to do the swap the quickest way tbh. Cheers for the guidance so far. And craig the dark side looks like the only side to be on ;)
  19. right as some of you lads will hae seen im breaking the cruise kitted V. im holding back my big spec 4efte and the vf24 turbo kit and im gonna bang them on an ep85 and wind up the boost my question though guys is as im breaking the v i will have an ecu and looms ect but will i be better off using an ep82 loom and ecu for the conversion? its not a problem if the answer is yes as my mate is breaking an 82 atm so ill buy his if you think its better off that way. just figuered as i have em can i use em? i dont want an ep95 i dont think as ill be too tempted to keep the cruise front end and build a cruise kitted 4wd and tbh I've never owed a gt shaped ep in the 7 years I've been modding and owning them, I've worked on gt's but thought maybe i should own one now cheers in advance lads. plus any thing i need to look out for when i do the swap, I've read every post in the 4paw section so i know about the sumps, immobaliser box, ect im aware of the benifit of the gt final gear in the ep85 box (a mod i will defo do!) im also aware of the walbro pump mod ect to fit my uprated pump. side note, seat rails? do the ep82/91 rails fit in the ep85/95 or does the tunnel alter the mounting locations at all? cheers boys. actualy cant wait tbh!!!!!
  20. can get an idea of oil temp , engine temp, revs, oil starvation (even for split seconds while under hard turning), component wear, oil leakage, is by far the best guage you will add! every one should have one on a starlet as when the oil is getting low (around just under the half line) the oil starvasion round cornering is insane!!
  21. A men to that! my oil presure guage is my best friend when giving it the right foot! can tell loads from what its showing! amjad if you fook the engine me and turbo grant can rebuild it cheap for you if you like so long as you bring the car, or at least the engine back to southampton
  22. Is why i love my sunroof if your hot open windows and boost more!! Aircon is a waste of fuel and space, in the 3 years i havnt had it I've prob only missed it once or twice when you sat in a ton of traffic on a crazy hot day! Otherwise there is just no need for it.

  24. Did your new bumper come with the new fixing mounts? I belive the 98 uses the same brackets as an na bumper? Iddy will be able to confirm this, as will any 96 v guys running 98 fronts.
  25. Not a straight swap, the rails will need moding, tbh dude i would stick with gt seats they are far more supportive than the glanza seats mate.
